Man a cornershot type system... nostalgia overflow.Plate carriers.
It was on there and then every unit bought them..gathering dust for the last decade in most weapon stores now.
my personal opinion. doesn't the bulletproof vest jacket looks too flimsy and thin ?A few high-resolution images of type-21 winter combat uniforms.

It’s a plate carrier. The materials used will not stop even a 22LR round. Their entire point is to hold ballistic plates, so the lighter and thinner the better.
That's because it's empty. Like plawolf said, without the plates inserted it would look really thin.
So without plate it dont act as soft armor?

Most don’t. A few will but the trend is self contained plates.
