Instead of always mocking india, look at strategic advantage which india has . India is going to create same problem to what Soviet faced after china joined with USA.

India might always pull attention of china to both indian ocean region and it's lager Himalayan border.

USA wants Indian forces to become string in South Asia so that if next border conflict occur then china would have to deploy more troops and resources to it's larger border. Since india economy is also rising and last cold war lasted around 40+ years so if you think in long term then india vs china conflict will significantly cost attention and resources to china.

Pakistan can't counter india because it's economy is in very bad shape and it's dependent on USA for IMF loans and bailout package.

More or less fairy tale from desperate fake amrikkan general based upon cold war era lessons.
As a "neighbor" of them surrounded by 3 sides, i am more than aware of their "capabilities". There are several factors-
1. In any case of conflict, indians forces itself will have to be divided into two, nuclear adversary on both sides, both of them having substantial military industrial bases. Means prolonged conflict.
2. Internal riots based on religion & caste.
3. Pakistan's economic trouble doesn't seem to trouble much their military which is kinda surprising to me, the reason behind it is because they produce some of much needed stuff in house & has their own industrial bases. Of course they can't afford fancy stuffs, but what they have seems to be enough.
4. Geographically most sensitive one - The Chicken's neck, otherwise known as siliguri corridor.

India has to worry about more than one choke point in any conflict, without even mentioning the fact their economy is going down the toilet + almost all of their stuffs are imported which will be troublesome to get fast during conflict.

Our fake amrikkan general is still mentally m--t--b--ing about USSR collapse thinking they engineered it. They didn't. Because same thing is screwing them hard all over the world, specially in MENA , i still can't forget how fast they ran out of Afghanistan.

Oh, by the way, now they want 25 of them instead of 50+...well for interim basis.:rolleyes:

And just has most of the folks here have predicted and said that India's new INS Vikranf AC won't be able to fit either the Rafale M or the U.S. FA Superhornet due to the respective dimensions of the planes that are simply too big and unusable for India's new and hyped up A.C.

Here's the report:

And a YouTube video link that discussed this new development while including yet again, desperate and fantasy like wishes of the Indian military, this time around the notion that America will grant them to have and operate one of American prestige power, the strategic stealth bomber B-21.

I'd expect Russia and Iran to be ahead of India in the queue for B21!

Jesus that "buy Admiral Gorshkov for $1" deal really screwed them up. If they end up having to buy more Mig-29K Putin will be laughing to the bank.

Could you launch F-35C from STOBAR?

There are not records of attempt to test F-35C on STOBAR. I doubt it will work or worth the weight sacrifice.

But in their case, India could go with F-35B instead, not sure how US will feel about that though given India relationship with Russia.

India trying to use Taiwan to cover up their overestimation of influence over Sri Lanka.

Wen-ti Sung, a political scientist at the Australian National University specialising on Taiwan and China, said Delhi was creating “new bargaining leverages” in accusing China of “militarisation” of the strait, by normalising “tougher rhetoric” which it could offer to discontinue in future negotiations.

“Knowing that China does not want escalation on multiple fronts, India is venturing to create a new leverage where none existed before, by calling China out on Taiwan,” Sung said, noting China’s domestic pressures with the coming 20th party congress, when President Xi Jinping will seek a third term.
This guy must be one of those Boba Hanjians. Saying that India mentioned Taiwan to pressure China over the Sri Lanka port visit? This is typical of Boba Hanjian delusional mindset. India is just being India. It was just throwing a tantrum because it realized that Sri Lanka is not it's loyal subject.

Safe to say that if India dares to play the Taiwan card with China, there is nothing intelligent about it. This is not leverage, its a provocation. China does not want to put too much attention into India. But with every provocation India does, it compels China to react and build-up more military strength against India. The most sensitive issue for China right now is Taiwan, and yet India wants to play with this fire. India is yet again contributing to making the Chinese "India containment strategy" a reality.

India recently bought the S-400 from Russia, the F-35B would likely be blocked for the same reasons as it was for Turkey. You also would have the problem of getting it to fit in the tiny lifts. Not to mention the price of it....

I think they've dodged a bullet. I think it is too underpowered to operate safely on a ski lift carrier. Remember that RN F-35B that went for a swim last year?
