BEL is supplied coastal surveillance systems to many of India's maritime neighbors. The primary sensor is TERMA SCANTER 2001 S/X-band radar, TI is from Controp & the CCD camera with LLLTV is from Obzerv. BEL integrates the equipment with satellite data & presents it to the user.View attachment 69810View attachment 69811View attachment 69812View attachment 69813

Why is this stuff in this thread? This civilian equipment is a dime a dozen and only a step above alibaba products.

Satellite feeds can be received by smartphones. How is that impressive integration of data? It's literally a $50 piece of module. How impressive is the feed that's the question? Is it good enough to guide weapons?

Some meteorological radar units probably Chinese components as well. What are the surveillance solutions details? These are very much commercial level stuff that recreational boat owners can and do have installed.

This is interesting. Is there a source for the image/drawing?

Kaveri is going to be M88 variant is it not since France has agreed to allow Safran to help India develop a Kaveri replacement in return for Rafale deal.

Because this isn't a fishing thread. This is the equivalent of showing off a kid's slingshot in a firearms forum. The equipment is barely even military and while militaries do use and operate such things, no one cares about this low level stuff. It's like reporting on what chairs are used on IN destroyers.

Corrected perhaps this is impressive for India if it's able to make some of these components and equipment itself. My mistake.

No website got it from DFI-PK. The rumored Thrust is 55 KN dry. 90 KN wet. Don't knew the exact figures.

What are the current "SLBMs" used on India's Arihant class? What are the planned replacements and their ranges?

It surprises me that India is a relatively capable space power with a program that could deliver ICBMs with ease but till date they have not developed a single ICBM... iirc India's longest range ballistic missile is IRBM.

There's also no first use policy correct? and also main nuclear threat is from Pakistan so the range isn't an issue and for the costs involved, it is simply too much without really the need? China has no first use policy so no nuclear threat from China. Is it because the cost is better spent upgrading other aspects of Indian military since the need for even IRBM isn't really there? SSNBs pursued because the need to develop and progress a certain military tech branch I get that but why not build smaller batches just to keep the tech branch going. I believe the IN has commissioned a lot of SSBNs?
