Makes me wonder if India indeed had a design licensing or Transfer agreement in the Rafale order. The resemblance with TEDBF is uncanny.

Also, aside from the folding wings and More powerful engines, TEDBF could very well use the design knowledge behind Rafale which was designed with carrier operations in consideration.

Then there is the fact that India has quite a candid relationship with France in the Aerospace sector.

Maybe it's just good inspiration. Maybe it isn't?

India offers Bangladesh complete TOT if Bangladesh buys Tejas.

But Bangladesh's Air Chief says that Tejas is Heavy weight fighter and even more high tech than F-22 Raptor so we can't afford them.
Bangladesh Air Chief has hinted in his press conference that they may purchase upto two squadrons of F-22s which are not as much high tech as HAL Tejas but are compatible for Bangladesh needs.
