I see that Haldilal mentioned that the LCA deal was due to get clearance last week. Here's a news report to confirm that the clearance did take place for 73 Tejas Mk1As and 10 trainers in case anyone thought it might have been delayed.

Don't get too excited. They will never reach Taiwanese island of China & will crash land in Indian ocean. Chillax.

Two things regarding MK1A that I was not able to confirm from open sources

1. Top Speed
2. Max time aircraft can stay in the air.


I've heard only bad things about it.
