So far we've only seen a photo that's most likely from recent events where Indian soldiers have been beaten and/or dispatched where Chinese ones are tending to them. The other video with no info or context shows some unidentified person under a plastic cover. No context can be extrapolated from the footage much less being able to identify the man. This is in contrast to identifiable Indian soldiers clearly beaten or worse with identifiable Chinese soldiers tending to them wearing face masks. I think despite the sensible thing to do i.e. keeping comments rather benign and restrained in judgement and conclusiveness, it's fair to say if anyone's been beaten to a pulp, it's the Indian side. Combine this with Indian media running a story recently on a group of Indian soldiers being detained and their weapons taken from them.
It's truly against both sides to escalate although I can see how India certainly may have leverage because I don't think it's wise for CCP to engage in conflict with India while it's got a mess of a eastern side. If there was no North Korea problem and east Asia was quiet and cooperative (no border/island disputes or NK issue), if HK were not in the state it is in, and if Taiwan was reunified or a settled independent nation with no right to claim the mainland, then the CCP has a free hand. At the moment it's got all that mess and the US flaring up and sometimes creating all those above problems. There is a decent chance the CCP may be willing to deal with the Indians under the table so long as the matter is settled and no revealed publicly. But this means no chest thumping victory for Modi so who knows how each side play their cards.
