Sounds kinda like a one sided tall tell from a kid that knows he will be protected because his family is connected
Or an hr Indian officer attacked a mid level Chinese officer unprovoked and by suprise. The Chinese were nice enough to not just shoot him dead. Since they had good discipline and restraint.
Once China pushes America out of the western Pacific, India is going to receive a hiding.

All the Indian news media are using 2017 Ladakh border fight video as the latest 2020 fight. The Indian news media have no credibilty.

, and were furious at the Chinese commissar for shouting, "This (Sikkim) is not your land, this is not Indian territory... so just go back."
Brought up in a military family – his grandfather a veteran of the Royal and then Indian Air Force and his father a colonel in the Indian Army – the officer could not stomach it anymore.

The Lieutenant Was Patted For Bravery, Yet Admonished For ‘Provoking a Bigger Spat’
The Chinese major collapsed with a thud and his name tag came loose – a good souvenir to carry back – but the lieutenant left it alone, as his colleagues pulled him back.
After being admonished for a while by senior officers, for provoking a bigger spat, and being congratulated by officers from command and divisional headquarters at Kolkata and Sukna, the lieutenant was preparing for a commendation. But, the senior commanders could not land at Muguthang because of bad weather.

Meanwhile, the lieutenant is unrepentant, but somewhat crestfallen because he has been pulled back to a location away from the front. His only comfort that his troops are loving his act of 'teaching the Chinese the right lesson.'

So some low level spoilt Indian military princeling decided to sucker punch a PLA major who was busy talking to his CO, real big man he is

Speaks volumes about the Indian army’s lack of discipline and professionalism that this happened at all. If PLA troops were as ill disciplined as this jumped up Indian princeling, a shooting war might have broken out because of this little hothead idiot.

China has overwhelming escalation advantage in any fight against India, any minor local geographical or numerical advantages India might enjoy is easily and quickly overcome by far superior Chinese logistics and transport capabilities. As the saying goes, don’t throw the first punch but throw the last.

If the Indian brass is idiotic enough to encourage further such childish behaviour by giving the little thug a commendation instead of serious disciplinary punishment, it will only encourage further idiotic thuggery by Indian troops that will end very badly for them and India.

I'd be very skeptical of this "punched him in the face" story...

Indian Mil and Media have a habit of dramatizing events for domestic consumption.

The story sounds like it was dreamt up by a PR agent watching too many bollywood movies.

Military altercations generally don't begin with people throwing punches... lolz

I remember 2 years ago in a press conference the Indian air force marshal said their SU-30MKI has the ability to detect PLA J-20 and the Indian news media turned around and published their SU-30MKI "DETECTED" J-20.

It shows (again) how the Indian soldiers are severely lack of discipline ... no surprise though :p

So nothing happened then? One side (Indian again) making up stories yet again like they did for Feb 27th. Chinese side not seeing this alleged incident as deserving of any attention. Any reputable or significant media sources confirming any of this? Even if it is true, this little thing isn't deserving of much attention by the masses. Come back when they find some courage to fire something outside of Bollywood dramatics. The poor Jawans there are probably deserving of some sympathy though. No one wants the Chinese-Indian disputed borders to become like the Pakistani-Indian ones where random loss of life for no real purpose becomes a frequent thing. If that ever happens, either it gets de-escalated immediately or the superior military ends it. India has some value still for China since it has a huge trade deficit with China. If that ever changes, it becomes less important to keep India united as the country it is today. Better it become similar to Mughal style princely states.

plz try i bet any small stupidity by your side will lead to a serious escalation along the whole LAC. that's why soldiers from both sides are not allowed to carry weapons while patrolling in case you don't know due to your ignorance.
Making up BS again? All PLA border troops carry weapons. There is even photo evidence. Did India procure such crappy guns and they don't work in the cold so the troops can't carry weapons?
