So it is in testing phase and not in use. Can we not go through so many iterations just to arrive at such a simple conclusion?

According to this article, the test failed.

According to the wiki page which seems to be edited in a favourable light for India (due to calling it a "partial success" see below), the first test was not carried out.

The hypersonic vehicle did not achieve altitude or separate from the Agni-I booster rocket because the Agni-I "didn't complete the mission" of boosting it supposedly to the correct altitude and speed. Although there is no doubt India has maneuverable hypersonic programs so having working components already developed is almost also a certainty.

According to the DRDO press release that you provided it claimed the test was successful. Question is what is the meaning of success based on?

The only reference point to success is that it got off the ground.

A hypersonic test benchmark at the minimum basic hurdle is to achieve hypersonic flight and the nature of the sramjet technology is to sustain the flight at hypersonic speed. None of these basic requirements as being met were acknowledged in the press release. Making claims of success is your account beyond what was stated.

The bottom line is this program is a technology demonstrator presently going through a test regime. Your meaning of "in use" is so broad that the INS Vikrant can sail blindly through it without any trouble.

lol but according to so called journalists aka scientists agni 1 failed so how this press release is saying missile was successful.

when did I said we have a hypersonic glider or missile. it is just a validation of scramjet engine , alloys, fuel and rugged components which are having various applications including weapons. All the sub components that I posted are used in HSTDV.

your own member is acknowledging here .

According to the press rel;ease the missiles was successfully launched. It did not say that the missile was successful. That is simply your version. The press release only limited the meaning of success to the launch itself and nothing more. You are entitled to your own opinion but not to your own facts.

Perspective matters and consequently their corresponding truth values. It is the reason why I stated from the outset the posts you were making were meaningless because they lacked perspective and ultimately truth values. When it is all said and done on the subject of the Indian hypersonic program, it still need a lot of work. Such an outcome is not unexpected regardless of the attempted spin on the meaning of success.

The parts and components are irrelevant. The sum of the parts working together successfully is what will ensure the programs's success.
