It's a pretty bad excuse, considering India only locked down couple weeks ago. They didn't even have basin trials yet, sea trials probably won't happen until 2022 without covid. So commission in 2022 is a dream at best, I would say 2025 to meet international standards. Of course they can commission in 2022, but probably nothing inside works.
Well, the article Deino posted did NOT mention basin trial is done or not - if it's done, then at least basin trial is NOT that delayed (around one month).

From the pictures, it looks like an emergency landing after developing a technical snag, according to the article. The two pilots were said to be safe. The helicopter is one of the brand new AH-64E delivered last year.
It wasn’t a crash there was Techincal Gitch in the system so the pilot was forced do a emergency landing. The Helicopter was recovered with no damage after couple hours.
