Well if there certainly are other state and private organisations with better experience and capabilities, then it is a strange thing to do. I was under the impression Adani was the one who represented these organisations.
The sooner India realizes that there is no morality and fair play in Defence the better.
(And not good for China)
I do not think technologies has "matured" yet for Indians stealth UAV. Where is the non-stealth UAV of India (Rustom)? I think the major issue here might be long distance Communications and piloting of UAVs aided by satellites. @berserk Maybe your inputs on this ?
I'm not interested in downplaying Indians achievements (they have made a lot of good progress considering their economic strength).
A lot is yet to be desired considering mass production and induction of indigenous products. China had been in that situation a decade back. India might figure things out after a decade or so.
