Indians use English for their own purposes. It is a common language of government, academia and the corporate world because it bridges the various differing native languages within India such that someone from Punjab can communicate with someone from Tamil Nadu. The unfortunate flipside of this is that it remains very class-bound, with poorer Indians have little access to English and are thus cut off from the discourse of the upper classes. Nonetheless, such writers are not writing for you or me, we are just fortunate enough to be able to listen in.

Nor do Indians care what some Canadian thinks about how they should use language. Indeed, as the second largest English-speaking nation in the world it is as much their language as ours. This is the flip-side of English as a "global language" -- it is no longer ours to control. Get used to it.

India has already left its mark on the English language with words like "bungalow", "juggernaut", and "thug". I have no doubt that a century from now India's influence on the global language will have multiplied tenfold -- certainly far exceeding any Canadian influence -- and many of the "foreign" (i.e. Hindi, etc.) words that you do not understand will be understood by many non-native speakers.
If the word didn't exist in English, then fine borrow away, every language does that.

If an equivalent already exist, then it is just stupid to push new words when not needed. It just causes more and more confusion. U think if an Indian comes to north america and use crore will have anyone understand them, hell no.

I also find it annoying but checking on Oxford dictionaries it's officially recognised so I can't complain. Language is adaptive after all.

More Indian "reporting" on losing interest in Su-57 aka FGFA deal. The decision making and management skills of the guys in power there must rival the incompetence of some of their T-90 crews. False Indian bravado all over the internet while reality shows how incompetently governed their entire country is.

If they're about to finally make a decision on Tejas, it's a fighter 30 years late. Even if upgraded with the latest and greatest gadgets, it's a F106 level airframe that competes favourable with modified Mig-21/ J-7s. The nation that was ahead of China just 60 years ago is about to induct a "homemade" 4th gen (4.5?) fighter while PLAAF has already got more than a squadron of J-20s. But of course, cheap Chinese junk copies are worthless and will not be effective in real war

There is plenty to criticise about India's military-industrial complex and procurement processes without making silly statements as above.

Progress in a sensible direction, at last. But with Mk. 2 being some ways in the future, there is still plenty of time for things to go wrong, plans to be changed yet again, etc. With India even moreso than other nations, it is best to remain focused on the present.

Well that's certainly a worry for PLAAF if true. Maybe the can detect it well enough, can they track, target, and guide X band missiles?

All Stealth Aircraft can be detected under a number of conditions. First is if you have a powerful radar, second is if you are in the right bandwidth, Third is if you are close enough, Fourth is is you are scanning some other system like IR.
Stealth is not invisibility it's signature control and mitigation either by deflection or absorption.

Yes I'm aware of this. One on hand it could be just another completely worthless statement brought into existence to justify some more self-congratulating (I think this is it). On the other, they could have high quality UHF radars that are designed purely to spot stealth planes. We already know Russia and China have had many types of "counter-stealth" radars for over a decade (the tech is probably mature enough to direct effective means of targeting stealth platforms by now). So it's very possible India has at least the beginnings of such technologies.
