Well at least they finally decided to invest in transport infrastructure. It seems that they learned something from China

But China didn't really start splurging on railways until after 2008. By that point, malnutrition in China had effectively been eliminated.

In comparison, a third of Indian children are still malnourished and the situation has gotten worse over the past 10 years..

I'd say India is learning the wrong lesson, as they are also cutting rural development (which generally has a very high return on investment) and increasing spending on railways (which has a much lower return on investment) for the rich instead.
