For some reasons, the India stock market has been very resilient. It has not gone down a lot. Is it because the Indian investors are delusional of the situation?
I'm telling you guys. Do not underestimate the Indians. Due to their high demographics (24 million born per year) they will have twice the size of China's population by mid-century. Their population advantage over China will be equivalent to what the US currently enjoys over Russia. There are more Indians being born every year than births in all of East & Southeast Asia combined! There is a good chance the next US president could be Indian too. This country will dominate Asia and possibly the world in the future.

And what can 2 billion poor, illerate, malnourished people do? They won't form a large market because at the rate India is going GDP/cap will be $1000 for India soon. Add more people and no growth it will be $500/cap lol.

They can build anything or move up the tech ladder because most people don't even know how to write their own name! To be considered literate in India you only need to write your name, not read 5000 words!

And they can't do much manual labor, because robots will replace them. And the malnutrition means poor muscle and brain development.

More like supapowa 2550. By then everyone else will have died so no one to compare to

I think the Indian interpretation of India superpower, no matter how ridiculously it was claimed, may happen sooner but not economically equal to China. Given the shaky politics of UK, and a higher chance that Scotland may secede the union, then UK as a permanent member of UN security council, will be highly questioned. If UK, is booted out of UNSC, there is no other choice to put a replacement in there than a representative of 1.3B people with nukes.

The Indians will surely accept this as a superpower status even if half of Inadians are still drinking cow urine for covid immunity.

In that case, who cares.

Yes. India as a nation with 1.3 billion people deserves its place in the world.

Although the India nationalists are delusional, but frankly, nationalists from other places are not better, including those from China.
