India is the middle of third wave of Covid infections with cases topping 200,000 per day. Modi government is totally incapable of managing the situation.

Their vaccine diplomacy is also a total failure. They signed a legal contract with WHO to supply the world with vaccines. Not only can’t India fulfill that legal obligation, it can’t even produce enough vaccines for their own citizens.

India also disingenuously marketed their Covishield vaccine as an “Indian Vaccine” to other counties. Covishield is the AstraZeneca vaccine made under contract in India, lol.

The signature QUAD initiative recently announced is India making vaccines for distribution to SE Asia.

But I doubt that will happen.

i think that no american help and modi demise will influence india stance toward china in the long term. The Quad has lost a leg in these days. Good for china. There is actually not any kind of alliance against them in asia today and for the foreseable future
