Yea that's very true. And we would very much like to do that, only if there was a country worth trading with. I mean we have got Myanmar at one side but they are good for nothing at this moment. Nepal & Bhutan are too small, but we have good relation with both.
Unfortunately there are no other countries in our neighborhood, only that british leftover we have to deal with permanently.

Your largest trading partners, source of remittance or destination for emigration are not your neighbours.

USA and China are not neighbours. China and EU are not neighbours. USA and EU are not neigbours. They can still be large trading partners of one another.

Globalization means improved transport, communications, such as this forum, which allows you to communicate with people around the world within seconds.

There are other means of transport and communications, as well.

Don't forget, everything you have today,is only because of mercy of her Majesty.
You can believe all day you can become a country, you will never be one.

And BDad doesn't compare to some...whatever you think you are.

Another 20 years , we will be the king of the region.

How exactly will that happen?

As it stands, you are a mere puppet/vassal state of India with no standing military to even go toe to toe against Myanmar. The Rohingya situation exhibited this pretty well. Indians won't allow any of their vassals/puppet states that they placed in power to leave their orbit.

And as we all know, puppet/vassal states can only follow the instructions of their masters. As a vassal state, how can you be the king of the region?

They have been launching Indo pacific frame work...from....well.....other side of the globe. Aint that cute?
All the best.

And remember,
You were just a pawn, you are just a pawn, you will forever be just a pawn,to be used in need & then thrown out. You will be mistaken if you think you will ever become anything more than that.

Don't take it from me
But India’s importance to the U.S. is more strategic than economic. As the only Asian country that shares a disputed land border with China and is strong enough to stand up to the emerging superpower, India is a key component of the U.S.′ Indo-Pacific strategy to contain China.

Is there any non Indian source for this information?

This figure seems to be highly exaggerated like most things Indian.
I do believe this figure, I once asked my manager what the hourly rate was for on location Indian software engineer and to my surprise it was way higher then i ever expected. Talking about domestic developer getting like 75 euro a hour and the Indian one getting like 65 euro a hour. This is in a shit tier western Europe city.

This is me assuming Indian tech consultant count as software export.

There are likely several layers with many middlemen skimming from the top. I am sure the company pays that money, but the question is to who's pockets it ends up in.
Software exports alone has gave rise to a huge number of millionaires in India and it’s increasing , software exports play crucial role in economy of India they have cities dedicated to develop softwares , Bengaluru , Hyderabad , Noida and Gurgaon are few examples

It would be helpful to give a list and value of the world renowned India origin softwares exported.
Exclude call-centers, offshored software support and export of cheap labor.
