USA is playing game of chess with china,
LOL USA is playing tick-tack-toe and barely keeping up with whether they're supposed to draw circles or crosses.. China's playing Weiqi.
First USA used Lithuania as a pawn to give more official independent status by opening taiwan embassy in there, china retaliated because it was a big provocation, now they have changed their way to give taiwan more recognition in world by using eceonomic means that's why even taiwan tried to join economic framework of ipef but somehow not accepted because USA knows consequences or doesn't want to play this move now,so instead they're choosing india to their job if FTA happens then other countries will come to do same agreement which will make Beijing alot of problem in future because those countries who has deep economic ties would somehow come to support or protect their own interest in invasion case so that means openly providing arms support like what USA is doing with Ukraine .
Taiwan itself is too small to support investment that is substantial enough to defend against a large nuclear nation. Every country knows good and well that an investment in the ROC is a business deal and a gamble to earn as much money as you can in a short time because going to war with China is unthinkable for anyone other than the US. These countries will join only if the US is winning to claim credit; as long as China has the military power to prevent that, nobody will join the fight regardless of what investments they have on the island.
Also FTA would give more exposure to big market and india is greedy do he must have done something
What the hell does "he must have done something" mean??
which means giving more excess to market for more technology transfer which would also make Taiwanese company to easily shift their some or more production away from china .
LOLOL If India was a viable production path, no democratic nation would choose China. But the sole reason that China and India were nearly the same 60 year ago but China's so far ahead, India can't even see it today is because India is a dead end that isn't even close to substituting China. Besides, China's tech drive is double guarantee that China has no fear even if they could get a substitute.
China is also in deep trouble
I already know this is gonna be funny. Go on...
despite so much of sanction imposed by USA on semiconductor companies still china didn't retaliated because it would only help those tech companies to run away from china .
Retaliate for what? Chinese tech has never been working so hard on domestic lithography before and the progress is the fastest in the world by far. Without American sanctions, none of it was possible; these companies too the national initiative funds and partied them away. Now it looks like China will become the only self-sufficient cutting edge semiconductor producer in the world. All because of American sanctions.
This is not a fist fight; retaliation is not needed if the enemy continues to desperately make moves to harm himself. On the other hand, using your economy/tech to attack others is a double-edged sword that can often backfire. China's strategy now and through the trade war which saw the US defeated was to defend itself while letting the US take self-inflicted harm and in the end, the US sent itself into recession while attacking like a rabid dog in the end failing to penetrate Chinese defenses. As Napoleon said, "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."
China must need to stop these FTA by forcing taiwan to stop these official visit . Remember that india has stopped talking about one china policy since a decade and they know that china won't reataliated to them like you can see through app ban & seizing of assets from Chinese company
India the the ROC can do nothing meaningful with each other; they both think they hold the upper hand while neither has a hand.
and current geopolitical environment is in favour of india, and south east Asian countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia and other near shore countries of USA.
What does that mean? Economically, technologically, and militarily, they are all, even combined, China's inferior. They all trade more with China than each other. What does your "geopolitical advantage" mean? They have Western cheerleaders?
