You guys mock India too much. You shouldn't be overconfident like the west was with you.

I would hope you create mechanisms to demarcate your borders amicably and remove trade barriers. Asia should learn to work together.

The West is philosophically superior to the east. Their minds have been stretched to the limits and they are able to do mental gymnastics that you guys can't. For example they allow immigration, they openly critique and debate anything and anyone from the Pope to presidency. A guy slapped Macron and others hurl insults. Imagine someone slapping Xi or Putin or MBS. Imagine going to Saudi and insulting prophet Mohamed.

To the east this is seen as decay and weakened society. But this is where their strengths lie.

Nationalism never leads to a great outcome.
The problem actually isn't that we mock India too much, it's that we don't mock India enough

See this post:

Nah, not really. 20-30 years ago it was obvious to anyone with half a brain that China was on the up and up and would soon become a major power to be reckoned with. Reforms had been in place for a while now and FDI was flooding into the country. Manufacturing, infrastructure, and industrial capacity boomed. GDP growth rates regularly exceeded 10% YoY. As early as ~1999 China surpassed Japan in PPP to become the world's second largest economy. In hindsight, China has destroyed all expectations to become the monster it is today, but anyone in 1990 could see China did a 180 and was on the right track in its opening up and reform after decades of ideological governance, turmoil and stagnation.

There are no such signs for India today. If anything, the India of today is devolving into religious extremism and segregation. The caste system somehow still exists. A significant chunk of Indians still believe rubbing cow dung on their faces can cure cancer. And all this topped off with an insane bureaucracy. I mean this is some Qing Dynasty level culture and governance we're talking about here. It's that bad.

While China was busy growing in the 90s and 00s, it abided patiently by the motto of "hide your strength, bide your time". It never boasted or bragged, but kept its head down, did its homework, and kept on growing and developing. Only until the panda became too fat to hide behind the bamboo did China finally begin boldly asserting itself, as every great power should.

Meanwhile today we have "5 trillion dollar economy 2025", "30 trillion dollar economy soon", and the infamous "India Superpower 2020".

Tbh India doesn't get enough shit here for the things it says. We need to mock, ridicule, and laugh at Indians more, not less. They are a complete and utter joke.

The true test of a civilisation and its political philosophy is how it reacts and behaves in crises. The west has never really addressed the contradictions in its economy for eg how is free market capitalism superior when masses of unemployed youths with useless degrees are going to end up poorer than their parents? The West only made their system work by exploiting others for excess resources be it via slaves or cheap food and fuel. Without cheap and easy access to energy, the west will collapse as we are currently observin.

Similarly, modern India models its government after the exploitative nature of the British raj but tried socialism prior to the 90s. This, as well as the inherent inequalities in its culture of casteism leads India to its current position of having its best and brightest fleeing to the west, where they bring their own culture of casteism into west er multinationals like CISCO and Microsoft.
Finally, we do not mock India because it is india, anymore than we would mock Nigeria as a developing country. But if Nigerians were to go on twitter and boast of their own nation’s questionable achievements, even going so far as to outright lie and brigade detractors on twitter…well, you can hardly expect us to be lenient towards such individuals in urgent need of humbling?

Correct, even from EROEI perspective, as the global peak energy crisis sets in, its American cities and US structures that will collapse first.... per capita energy use America is simply not sustainable unless we had 7 more planet earths of resources

The auto market in India is impossible for foreign manufacturers to enter, it's a protectionist mafia. Unless you're Japanese and you hand out bribes to officials like candy.
No, the issue with this market is that India is a poor country with an average Per Capita income of $1900. The top selling cars in India are in the range of $3500 to $7500. Chinese buy more luxury cars in one week than India does in a year. That shows you the purchasing power of Indians.

Ford, Fiat, Chevrolet, GM ,Harley etc all entered the market thinking they have 1.2 Billion Indians to cater to. Soon they realized that this Billion strong market is a hoax & only couple million have the capacity to buy a car with only few hundred thousands actually buying a car. Eventually all quit as they were incurring huge losses.

That's why except for few companies like MG (who knows how long will they sustain losses in India) and now BYD no other Chinese company has shown serious interest in Indian market.

Toyota too indicated that they will be stopping expansion in India due to low sales.

Japanese dominate as they had a first mover advantage and make cheap cars with very efficient engines. The cars are such low quality that they cant be run on European roads because of safety issues. Also thanks to on economies of scale they make some money. The rest don't.

Only an automobile company that loves to burn cash will enter India.

Bro the western MSM projection of a huge middle class is a ruse, they follow the Indian Vedic system, because of the estimated 300 million Indian middle class, the actual number is only 60 million, most are in the lowest bracket and are getting smaller each year.
