First of all, I'd like to congratulate you for getting the Indian economics thread lit up; because all of India couldn't do a damn thing to get this thread noticed but you did.
Regarding China’s wolf warrior policy- Why not ask Phillipines about it, a few years back it had the most pro-China govt in history and look how China dealt with it leading to the present warlike situation.
The Phillipines had Aquino, the most anti-China, pro-US leader. Then it had Duarte, the opposite, who called Obama a son of a whore. Now it has another opposite, Marcos. See the pattern with democracies? Always back and forth. Democrat, then Republican, then Democrat again. It's like this because nations doing a shit job see people who always want change.
Or let’s ask Australia who were sanctioned because they had the temerity to ask for an independent probe into the origins of Covid.
They have no right to go anywhere near our labs. No one has that authority in China except the Chinese. They want an independent probe; we want our independent sanctions. We don't want to buy their crap anymore. You're not telling us where to spend our money, are you?
Or Vietnam or Malaysia or Indonesia or Japan all of whom have territorial disputes.
China has shitty neighbors goaded on by the US to think midgets can rob a giant. We're helping educate them that that's not the case.
Of course, Chinese people have the bad luck of living in a fish bowl like enclosed environment because of the communist regime, so they have no idea what the world thinks about them.
LOLOL Who has good luck? India and its democracy? LOLOL I'm not even going to go into the difference in power between China and India. Chinese people are the luckiest in the world to be ruled by the only government on earth that is truly feared by the US for its competence. I grew up in the US and I know what the world thinks about China. Generally speaking, all the right countries are fearing us and all the right countries support us. This is exactly what it looks like when China is on the cusp of flipping the world order.
YES, I who live in a free country must be living in a fish-bowl like environment?
Ahahaha oh you think you do? Wasn't it India's government the beat the crap out of farmers trying to negotiate a better living? You democracies are so funny. You tell everyone you're free, and then instance trouble starts, suddenly people get arrested for wearing Z shirts or painting parodies of Zelensky or suggesting that Russia isn't going to lose the war or that there's a genocide in Gaza. You don't even know what freedom is; you just know how to say the word.
The people living in a country which has a firewall to cut it off from the world would know better than most.
You remind me of a video clip where an idiot woman asked an American professor who had spent time teaching in China how to get the Chinese people to see the world outside. She said if only the Chinese people knew the whole picture, she's "sure" that they'd be on our (the West's) side. And the professor responded that throughout all his years teaching at Tsinghua, Peking University, etc... he'd never met a single person who didn't know what was going on outside and inside China. The biggest misconception of the West is that Chinese people are being held hostage and don't know, when actually they know exactly what they're doing and what they're working towards, which is the greatness of their nation. She sat down like she was mentally raped.
Even then, it is not the fault of the Chinese people. They are industrious and ingenious. They have achieved incredible things in the past few decades.
It is not their fault that they are cut off from the world.
It's actually
your fault for not knowing Chinese people and getting your knowledge on us from the West.
I have a decent understanding of the the South China Sea disputes.
That's what everyone would say if they graded themselves.
The present Chinese administration has made the situation much worse with it's Wolf Warrior policy.
Much worse for those hoping China would sit down and give up our interests. Why don't the other players make it much better by shutting up and getting off our territory?
They seem to have forgotten the words of Chinese's wisest modern leader Den Xiaoping 'Hide your strength, bide your time'
Those words don't last forever. Certain instructions are for certain times. Intelligent decision is necessary especially when following a dead man's commands.
Since you don't know, let me help. Read the article below-
It's never going to help anyone to try to learn about China by reading articles written by the West. Seems you lack the prerequisites for the course you're trying to take.
The New York Times article clearly shows the difficulties a developing nation like India will face to rapidly advance it's economy. However, India has 2 advantages-
1 It has time. Decades and decades of time. Unlike East Asia, India has a stable demographic future.
Demographics is not destiny, in my opinion, but it does give you time to frame the right strategy to grow. India is not in a race to develop before it gets old.
LOLOL Yeah India's obviously not in a race against getting old because it has third world economics rooted in agriculture and low life expectancy. That's like congratulating a homeless person for not having rich people problems.
2 It has the support of the West. The West may not be as powerful as it was in the past but it will still be a powerful economic force and they desperately want India to challenge China.
India's a funny one. It wants to be a superpower but wants others to hold its hand and help it become one. How cute. The West will cut you down once they realize that they can't stop China but they can easily stop India from getting ahead of them too.
Whether that strategy works or not, only the future will tell.
Yeah, that's what they said yesterday, and the day before that about India. This is the future. Nope. More future than that... no, further than that... a little more...
People like me are needed so that this forum does not become entirely a refuge for people with similar views. A person like me thinks differently, I will praise China and it's government when it does right and criticize it when it does wrong.
That's an interesting and self-flattering definition for something most people just call an ignorant person...
