Hong-Kong Protests

Not to defend the Shanghaiese as a good bunch of them are truly 崇洋媚外(worship the so called West).

But these Hong Kongers are on a whole other level. They have fully internalized their inferiority to the "West" and believe being subservient to their rulers to be the most important code of conduct.

You can always easily tell them apart as they flood the mainland for higher standard of living: short, ugly, barely able to speak mandarin, mix up English words with their atrocious accent, and far more importantly, alway have this look of insecurity and fear in their eyes. All in all, very 倭(jap like).
Yeah true but I am saying that the old Shanghainese are the reason those Hong Kongers turned out this way because they fled to Hong Kong during civil war.

The Joshua Wong case is almost sad (but not actually sad). The West completely abandoned him.

Pompeo denied Wong asylum despite Nathan Law’s personal pleas and then lied to Wong, saying he was still under consideration. He's been thoroughly ignored by the Western media. Instead, they’ve devoted all their publicity to Jimmy Lai.

In reality, Joshua Wong was the most important person in the protests. The average rioter identified with Wong, not an old perverted billionaire newspaper owner. An honest Western journalist would prioritize his release over Lai’s.

So why does BBC write dozens of articles about Jimmy Lai and completely ignore Joshua Wong? Because Joshua Wong is ugly.

Let this be a lesson to future separatists. You can devote your entire life into creating “a beautiful sight” for NED. But if the CIA decides Jimmy Lai looks better on camera, Uncle Sam can ditch you at the drop of a hat.

Also, Joshuo Wong fits the worst stereotype of oriental sisy boys in the eyes of the Anglos. He's the perfect Long Duk Dong. Then of course, Natham Law looks way more masculine and handsome, so maybe that's why he attracts more attention.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But I got the impression that Joshua Wong was artificially put up as the "leader" of the 2014 Occupy Central protests, when in reality he wasn't actually that important among the protest movement itself back in 2014? I only saw mention of him in western media, but almost none from local Hong Kong coverage.

But by the 2019 riots, he did manage to gain local popular notoriety.
