SCMP is just a pure bias media. When mainland doctors and nurses risk their lives to come to HK to help, the first thing HK journalist asks is if there is a way and mechanism to file a complaint against mainland doctors and nurses. Don't try to sugarcoat such sinister question with freedom of press. Even if you really wanted to ask, there are always a more polite and professional way to field the question.
The whole affair has just reaffirmed many mainlanders' view of CCP choosing to pamper ungrateful HKers at the expense of mainlanders. While Shenzhen, Guangdong are suffering from Covid (many spread from HK), CCP still chose to send precious medical personnel to HK.
Even then, HK hospitals decided to only allow trained mainland medical staff to help with low-level care roles performing menial work. The outrage on Chinese social media is palpable, many has started to realize that they might need to cause troubles for CCP like HKers in order to get CCP to care about them.
HK public hospitals are not only pro-cockroach but they have a lot of intrinsic interests to limit mainland Chinese doctors and nurses' helps. For years, HK public hospitals are plague with problems and staff shortages but HK medical council has sternly refused to allow importing of foreign or mainland doctors or nurses. If mainland Chinese doctors and nurses' assistance won over HKers, these HK doctors and nurses are afraid they would lose their jobs or get a pay cuts. That's why they are trying to sabotage everything from seeking helps to working together.
The moment the events of 2019 happened the CPC should have expedited pushing 2047 unification forward instead of simpling allowing things to fester, as the Ukraine situation demonstrates western ideologues will never stop until the entire world is under their control. The Iranians had it right when in came down to fighting back against the western imperialists, for they know this quite directly.
They also reject the recognition of foreign medical personnel, even those HK people who graduated from universities in British Commonwealth countries. The government should import qualified people, thereby diluting these local separatists.
