Hong-Kong Protests

They were wearing black shirt with yellow slogan. The apology is made on Friday at 1 am. 5 demands not one less. Nothing sincere about this apology. It is just that they were forced to do so and finally realized the repercussions would be very serious. But they still are trying to look defiant.

These brats still think they are in a game with the Friday at 1am stunt? They all are prob on some watch list now.

Oh definately lip service. Nothing sincere with their "apologies". It's just PR stunt and to avoid the national security law agent knocking on their door.

Meanwhile, another gem from our friend Nury.

Problem solved for both sides. It's only HK$250.

It's not the students that's the problem. It's the universities that's the problem. And it all starts with the education systems that allows religious schools.

Religious schools in themselves should not be an issue. There was a video of that old (Irish?) priest trying to calm the students down and they were calling him names because he said "this is not the way to do things". If religious schools have any higher percentage of hanjian students, then I can only surmise that they have a higher number of foreign trained teachers which are themselves indoctrinated in Western righteousness (from what I'm seeing in the news though, its quite prevalent throughout ALL schools).

You touched the root problem.

The reason why the university hadn't expelled them is because the university supports them.

How do you think they have become student "leaders"? Anyone who knows how the student elections work is that the University is often supporting these processes.

And how did these students got leaders? Because other students voted for them.
So this means that the whole university and education system is rotten to the core. They have brainwashed the younger generation to such a degree that these "students" openly support terrorists with implied support from the education system.

This is the root cause. The education system is corrupt and rotten to the core. This is what happens when you let these tumours to grow uncontrollable.

Lets see how China deals with the entire younger generation of HK being brainwashed...

If those universities have the gut to do anything, then we wouldn't witness the siege at PolyU. Beside, many of the administrators and senior management probably are pro-West. The school board probably is the only place where the government can rely upon.

Expelling them would be only way to deter any further aggression from these students and put end of such nonsense. Compare HK with Macau, you can see Macau is much more proactive in curbing extreme element.

Student elections are a joke of a popularity contest. No one cares about them.

However, I will agree that not taking a stronger stance is tacit approval. The authorities need to force their hand into expelling these students. Western schools love to virtue signal (I went to a University that closed their shooting range because "it was sending the wrong message", even though one of the club members was on the Olympic team), so HK authorities should learn.

If you want to waste 8 minutes of your life hearing some used contraceptive talking next to a large phallus symbol (which is likely the reason of their misery and others in HK) and describe how they wish they could return to hong kong one day. The irony and imagery don't get better than this though...

Ordinarily I would agree with you. Particularly if it's religious schools in the west.

What is different is that western religious schools taught their students to respect the law and most of all their country first and foremost. As well as their religion.

Whereas in Hong Kong, these religious schools are so against CCP China because they are godless believers. So in their teaching, anyone who is godless needs to be opposed. Don't forget God's teaching is one can't go to heaven if do not believe in God.

This, couples with all the western worshipping from their teachers when they were young, and studied abroad with western patronage. It makes a great cocktail of anti-China stance. It's no coincident that almost all religious schools as shown in my photos in the past are anti-china.

I went to a religious school in Hong Kong. We start the day with morning prays. We never start our days like this. You bet your life that very few religious schools will perform this each and every morning.

These religious school are not just against CCP but also against Chinese Buddhism. The school as represented by american missionaries constantly preached young school children to destroy the Buddhist idol at home to prove that we are true believers of Christ. Almost weekly, they would reward and pour praise on children who converts and become believers in front of all students. School children was under constant pressure to prove that they too deserve to be saved from eternal suffering in hell.

This happened not only at my school but also in other religious schools based on testimony from others.

Sickening really.

Christians believe everyone is born a sinner and in order to not be a sinner, you have to prove to God through some mortal religious figure on earth how Christian you are and only in the eyes of these non democratically elected mortals, not god, that you have to prove you're not a sinner. In other words it's the anti-democratic belief of you're guilty until you prove yourself to anyone who thinks they're in a position to judge you're innocent. Western culture is based on Christians values. No matter if someone Western claims they're not religious, the way they see the world comes from Christianity. That's why liberals instead of God will deify something like like the environment. And guess who only gets to interpret what the environment wants and what people have to do for the environment? If you're not a Christian, you must be against God and therefore you must be evil. When I was a kid alone in my house, a young white woman knocked at the door. She must've been from UC Berkeley because you don't see white women in my neighborhood that much certainly not alone. She was talking to me about some feminist stuff and I said sorry my parents aren't home. Then she started the intimidation as if I was against what ever she was for because I wouldn't do something. What did she want a kid to do? Rifle through my parents stuff and give her money for whatever cause she was working for? Westerners think in black and white. It's either you're good or your evil. You're either for me or you're against me. It's ironic for a so-called culture of democratic values that they want to eliminate choice. Dictatorship is no different because you have only two choices to pick from too... obey or die. I was watching this YouTube channel of alt-right nobody that comments on current events. He claims not to be politically bias and he's against censorship and cancel culture but that's like Bill O'Reilly's show on FOX is a no spin zone. Well one day he claims Christianity is the most harmless of religions and not by name insults a religion referring to forty virgins. I comment " You mean like the guy that killed six Asian women in Atlanta all because he wanted to eliminate his perverted sexual temptations which is very Christian to think like that?" My comment was deleted and I couldn't make more comments on that video. It was the truth and because of right-wing political correctness, they censored my comment. Where are all the Christians coming out to say what that guy did was wrong? They were no where therefore they must've been for it. The façade of democratic values hiding the highly undemocratic institution of Christianity that's behind it all. It's not Western nations punishing China. It's the higher calling of the human rights god that demands it so Western countries still have the right to make money from China when China can't make money from them...

It happened and is still happening all over. Korea, Singapore, Malaysia etc. have received a lot of their blessings. If I recall correctly, in SEA the fundamentalists started being very aggressive in the sixties and seventies and they have captured much of the western oriented crowd. Anyone who has stayed for some time in Korea, Singapore or Malaysia will know what I'm talking about. It's a very good way of aligning local populations to yourself through religious influence at the same time splitting whole populations up, families internally divided by religions, old vs young, brothers against each other and oneself against "infidels" and the "damned".

Meanwhile clean up of all the mess begins at the university. They should make all those students convicted but given a suspended sentence to the clean up.
