Hong-Kong Protests

Don't be sorry for her. I have seen some of her blog post and she was essentially saying that her faith in god is why she felt obligated to join the protest. Moreover, I have seen her post pictures of 3-5 year old children chanting slogan and she called them cute. Very typical shallow cultist mentality.

Well, guys I feel there's been a slight misunderstanding. I said 'I ALMOST feel sorry for her'.

Maybe it's my old age, and I'm going soft. And she is young and sort of cute.

Then I come to my senses, and I'm ok now. I say throw the book at her and lock her up for a long time! Lol

This is my first time watching Wong speak in video, so first impressions:
1) why is he speaking in broken English? I thought he was fluent
2) why is he reading off a script? I thought he would be skilled enough to do everything impromptu and off the cuff
3) is it me or does he seem scared? his demeanor is tense or maybe that is just his baseline... but he isn't exuding confidence

Maybe President Xi should invite him to Beijing and have an one on one sit down over some tea... and have a man to man discussion and coming to terms etc... like when Obama invited that one dude to the White House over beer etc...

Wow, you never seen him speak before! He is not very bright. He got through college with minimal grades. This is why people are saying he must have help in getting into university.

He needs scripts because he is not a natural debater. He is bring used because if him beingvthe 'face' for the west.

In fact, he's not even well respected in Hong Kong. Often people can see him with a Mic in the street trying to drum up support. And he's on his own or with one or two others. But does not draw a crowd. (I've videos of him inbthe street, well post if I can find it) So it should tell you something about his popularity!

Basically, he's being used by bigger players.

The entire HK protests really brought up the hypocrisy of the West.

Western media oversimplify a very complex issue like HK protests into black/white or Good vs. Evil. with broad strokes and sensationalism and obfuscation and sometimes outright lies.

I still don't understand why "Hong Kong hermit" is not kicked out of Hong Kong

He is lucky he lives in a civilised country where people merely shout at him. Had he riled a crowd up so much in America, odds are someone would have beat and/or shot and/or stabbed and/or threw acid on him and/or ran him over already, or maybe even all of the above.

What I loved about this video is that (And I'm never tired of saying this) they are still significant (If not the majority) of Hong Kongers that are patriotic and loved their place to be Chinese.

Unfortunately, the MSM has portrait the opposite, with mass of UK and USA flag waving, etc. All propoganda but even some of us here have been taken in by it. Judging by some of the comments in the past.

As I said before, we should not abandon these people, they are proud patriots and Beijing should continue bearing this people in mind.

Sad state of affairs for Apple daily, they are given them away free. Thus video showed a woman shouting it's free. She is also the same woman at every protest shouting her daughter is at the front line. She was also caught outside the metro crying because the children have died at 'police hand'. She gets everywhere. She gives a new meaning to rent a mob!
