McCarthyism at it's best. It will be interesting to see how much mental gymnastics our friend from the A team perfor. defend this!

Just saw his post! Lol demonized the candidate so they got no chance of being re-elected. But as least we could say we didn't ban them. What sort of alternative world does he live in.

Yes , they are allowed to run for office to be killed Ok?

Are you saying that the Australian and Canadian politicians with links to the CCP are going to be murdered? That seems unlikely, not least because they haven't asked for police protection.

Two of your president died while in office my friend. Remember the phrase " in office ".

I'm not American.

Just encountered my first HKer in the wild recently, and its extremely interesting to observe the pathology of their mental weakness.

This is a work colleague, so I had to do my best to keep things civil and maintain the relationship as otherwise I would not have given her the time of day.

At first she was all smiles and asking about my background. She went slightly frosty when said I was born in mainland China, then hopeful when I said I spent the majority of my life outside China.

What followed was an interrogation in all but name as she asked probing and loaded questions about all the western standard-issue talking points from HK to Xinjiang. Throughout I was just being non-committal as I can tell straight away that our views were diametrically opposed, and I just didn’t want the drama at work, and so focused most of my responses at poking holes in her arguments.

But that seemed to only frustrate her as she was clearly desperate to fit me in a pre-existing box so she could then use her stock answers and accusations against me; and seems to take it as some sort of personal slight that I would dare to question her sources and methods. She especially did not like it when I asked for really basic evidence for her claims and used really elementary deductive reasoning to demolish her conclusions, and I could almost her a vein pop when I used her own poor analogy to prove my point. At which point she went on and on about how stupid that analogy was, completely ignoring the fact that it was she who first made it to try to prove her point.

At no point did I make any comments or implications about her character, but nonetheless she was getting more and more offended and kept trying (and failing) to set traps for me. When that failed, she just gave up and went straight to the accusation stage of her playbook trying to put words in my mouth about what I believed or felt.

When I easily demolished those strawmen arguments, she played the woman card and was saying how she wasn’t enjoying this conversation, never mind that it was her who initiated contact and went straight to politics with indecent haste.

Anyways, to sum up, the key take-aways From this experience for me were:
- just how shallow their arguments were, which basically boils down to ‘I spent hours and hours researching this on the web so I am THE authority on this matter’
- how twisted their reasoning was that I was able to so easily demolish argument after argument by just pointing out all the blatantly obvious holes and logical fallacies
- how fragile their egos were that some basic gentle debate can upset them so much, which is a hallmark of brainwashing and mental conditioning
- how quickly and easily they play the victim card when they don’t get their way

Basically, it’s exactly like trying to have a reasonable discussion with a cult member.

I think the original reason for her making contact was to try to gauge me for potential recruitment.

No doubt I am now on some sort of HK/FLG black list. But I covered myself in case they try to pull any HR BS so I am not worried.

These types, the TW and HK newcomers, all think we support them because we grew up in America.

Might be true for most Chinese Americans, but people like us are on the rise.

You becareful mate. They are deranged lot. And could escalate further. You have my sympathy and morale support.

What you said it's quite true. Like me, my colleagues all think I should be like them. And I would've be like them if I just get my information from one side. The mighty BBC and CNN. unfortunately for them I get my news from a wide range of sources, and have seen stuff that they are "not allowed" to see.

The other day, I saw Chinese are marching in support in Canada in support of these cockroaches. And if a western saw that, they think I should be there marching with them. Lol.

I've been dealing with these sorts since high school, they were already POS then and time only showed just how toxic they really are, which is why I for one when they try to used those canned diatribes I point out that "the West uses their rules to enforce on others but not binding on themselves, while everyone else is bound but not protected by those same rules".

Funny... I've got no interesting stories to tell on that. And I tried to get some, but couldn't provoke any. I went to a Taiwanese Church with many members from Hong Kong. I used to go every weekend and told them I was there to eat and there wasn't a chance in hell I'd convert. And eat I did as I planned my heaviest workouts of the week to be right before they met so I can eat 3 helpings and took one more for the road. And when I did my self intro, I told them I'm Chinese, love China, only China, and forever China, that to me, betrayal of the country was a sin worse than murder. And they clapped at my speech... though it might have been fake and they secretly hate me... I dunno. It got old so I don't go anymore.

@shanlung @Gatekeeper

Here's a recent story from when I was waiting in line for my prescriptions.

I saw this Singaporean Chinese woman and her mom walking in Costco going around and trying to talk to white people in English. She tells them how she, a Singaporean, loves America and which Christian church they go to. The mom doesn't speak a single word of English.

She then went to the pharmacy to ask some questions, skipping right in front of me. The pharmacist was Asian and the lady started speaking to her in Mandarin right off the bat. That pharmacist was actually Chinese Malay and does speak a little Chinese, but gave me an uncomfortable look because I was skipped and I just shrugged.

Afterwards she went off to find more white cashiers to speak to, skipping the blacks.

Not only do we have traitors, but we also have these types setting us back a thousand years. It might all be the same people.

LOL, that's awesome.

Regardless of what they actually think, that's a pretty swell church group there.

This thread isn't one to air personal experiences with people that you have political disagreements with.
Furthermore, use of derogatory terms will also not be allowed. Just because one side uses terms like "locust" doesn't require the other side to have to use "cockroach".
Show some discipline please.

Any further posts about these "personal experiences" will be deleted and warned. That's not what this thread is for.
