Hong-Kong Protests

Yes, I think any vigilante movement by the Hong Kong masses would not only have to battle the rioters, but their backers and also the judges. Heck, they may even have to fend off the police as well for their vigilante actions.

It would truly be a civil war!

But nevertheless, this would serve as a heavy lesson for the Hong Kongers. As I'm quite sure the vast majority of them were drinking Western propaganda kool aid before this. Now they know.

Either the CCP is filled with really wise political leaders or they are just very lucky to see such a movement falter. Just when you think "this is it. This is the money shot. China will crumble",there would be something new that would push against the notion. The very vicious attacks and terrorism is just strengthening CCP.
As long as the internal cohesion in China is strong... The juggernaut called PRC shall March.

The terrorism was always confined to little Hong Kong and never stood a chance to actually threaten the CCP, much less make China crumble. I don't see any luck here; if anything, everything is really unlucky. Normally, when people start acting like rabid animals, the local population and police force should put them down immediately for destroying their own city. The latter would be expected to widely employ lethal force the moment that these criminals resorted to violence so that it could never escalate. But unluckily, both have fallen through so Hong Kong was allowed for this long and running to become the world's circus freak show at China's embarrassment.

To China's discomfort* and Anti-China-Force's Dismay. I do have some concerns regarding the Taiwan issue and the prospects of Taiwanese Green Party in the coming elections that would see the HK issue being used as a tool for Anti-China propaganda. Since Taiwan's political climate is critical to One China principle, I think the Taiwanese Green party actions that muddy up HK should be highlighted in the thread. I think Taiwan is not being discussed with vigor.

So much for the brave warrior image the thugs trying to protrait! Like their recent slogan, "I'm willing to take a bullet for you". Yeah right, can't even take pain without crying like a baby!

Finally, the thugs turned on to their favourite, the firemen, (upto now, the firemen have been spare, because the thugs see them as on their side)!

The mobs called a city wide strike, and just like last time, nobody take any notice, so the mob resort to blocking, intimidating people going about their business.

There's lots of clips of people going to work today being intimidating, etc.

I paticularly like this one where passangers got off the bus to clear barricades. Whats worthy about this is the man is a foreigner, and as such, the mob didn't set upon him like they would if he's a mainlander!

Typical Inferiority Complex mentality. Only way deal with them is to let them realize how inferior they are by force if necessary.

Brief overview of situation across city
As of 11.30pm, the main flash points are in Mong Kok and Tai Po, where tear gas is still being fired amid clashes. An electricity box has been set on fire on Sai Yeung Choi Street South in Mong Kok, creating a huge cloud of smoke followed by a small explosion.

Some protesters continue to trash Festival Walk shopping centre in Kowloon Tong, breaking shop windows and mall glass. There are no police officers there.

Tensions at Chinese University remain high although riot police have pulled back after intense clashes with protesters.

Many protesters refuse to leave the campus and are regrouping and distributing materials in anticipation of the next round of clashes.
