Because it's not a citizen's job to rally; it's the government's job to keep them safe. They're doing their jobs by living their lives and contribution to society and the economy; the government isn't doing it's job of keeping them safe.

Once again, it's not anybody's job to stop a riot other than the government's. Right now, the government is doing so poorly that it's dangerous in Hong Kong to show support for the Chinese flag, so the patriots are staying safe. Nothing is their fault.


Yeah, how about you figure this out by yourself. You live in Hong Kong; you love China, you speak up and end up in the hospital. Your free speech wasn't protected by the government you loved. Then you get out of the hospital, go home, and you've got no water cus Beijing cut you off. How do you feel? You're talking about depriving water to school children who salute the Chinese flag every morning. Meanwhile, every Western government will jump on this, telling the people of Hong Kong that they wish to deliver them and their children drinking water but the CCP is blocking them. You've got to be mental to think that that would make people love China. Water deprivation is regarded as one of the cruelest methods in humanity. You can intervene with the military using deadly force against every violent thug with a black mask and yellow hat without crossing nearly as many lines as water deprivation to a whole city. The latter will actually result in international condemnation and sanctions that the former will not because China has a very good case for military intervention with the level of violence in Hong Kong. But water deprivation? It is indefensible; it is a crime against humanity.

I am afraid you don't know the modern Chinese psyche. If you don't bother to show support for the country because you are afraid of some ragtag thugs you simply don't deserve Chinese support.
China didn't lost thousands of her brave men in Korea for such pussyfooting.

Let's not forget that the larger goal of uniting and modernizing all of Chinese society has not been completed, HK is by default a difficult decolonization work in progress, that's why 1C2S is a 50yr transition period. The PRC and ROC are not yet unified, both technically and in actuality the Chinese civil war as well as modernization are still the Chinese people's to lose, to either themselves or outsiders if they choose to make their homeland a battlefield.

Thousands of brave men didn't all organize themselves on Wechat and storm the Americans out of North Korea. That is a military operation and the men were led by a strong government as they need to be now! If you refuse your military draft (for bones spurs or whatever other fictitious reason), that is cowardice. That is completely different from inability to self-form a mass protest. No one has ever said that people who don't create mass riots/protests for their country are no longer worthy of their nation's support. No one. As a citizen, you go to work, contribute to society and economy and when the country calls for your military support, you enlist. That is 100% of what you need to do.

Beijing hasn't even called for patriotic protests in Hong Kong. I have a feeling that if Beijing called for it and started the Wechat organization, they can get it to happen and they can get it to be more massive and violent than the rioters if that is the method they choose to move forward with. Shenzhen has over 12 million people and Guangdong 115 million who can be mobilized in addition to what is in Hong Kong. Beijing has simply put no efforts to build such momentum unlike the foreign forces instigating unrest in Hong Kong.

Depends on whether the groups were small enough to cause prolonged gang fights, in which case, it could be worse. If it was overwhelming action, 2 million red shirts from Shenzhen and Guangdong pour in and beat all the rioters with steel clubs until the very few surviving go into hiding and never dare speak of their traitorous actions again, then the situation would be much much better. Afterwards, there should be a stigma implemented in Hong Kong were people hide their rioting history like their deepest darkest secret for fear of what would happen to them if they were found out. They should be ashamed and hide it like you would hide it if one night you took too many drugs and strangled an infant to death at the hospital because you hallucinated that he was the anti-Christ.

No, just very angry Chinese citizens like the people you see on this forum. If there was such a group and it called for anyone fed up the the garbage in Hong Kong to bring your own red t-shirt and steel pipe/club to meet-up and storm Hong Kong's rioters, I'm sure you can get a very very large number from the combined 130 million population of Shenzhen and Guangdong. Give enough notice and you can have people travelling from all parts of China to take part. The biggest problem in the end will be Chinese red shirts angry that they made the trip and didn't get to club anybody because there weren't enough to go around. I know I'd be disappointed to say the least.
