I found a couple of good videos I want to share with you guys. Unfortunately they are in Cantonese (again). For those who know Cantonese, please have a look.
Can you give faithful narrative of the videos for those of us who don't speak Cantonese please?

Oh I was trying to guess the timeline. But I thought for a moment and forfeit that. I couldn't tell. Just knew it's very very early on..or is it?

Oh I remember. I think this is 9/29 when the OC people are in the streets and the police began to use pepperspray. One elderly then got pulled over and sprayed in the eye. Gotta go out first.

so in http://www.sinodefenceforum.com/mem...entral-demonstrations-63-7050.html#post308314 you referred to something not caught on the two videos ... I asked because those videos showed Police Officers only defending the fence, trying to stop the most eager attackers (plus visibly showing the banner I noticed ... and now I recalled also a loudspeaker -- without knowing any Chinese at all, I guess the Police was telling the Protesters to get out :)

so, airsuperiority, the Police like retaliated the next day?? am just asking ...

I'll try to do that tomorrow since it's 3am here. In fact, I've just sent a message to the author asking for the transcript. I'll be back tomorrow! Good night guys!

It happened before the Police had to use tear gas. The protest was peaceful until some radicals (e.g.

) showed up and agitated the crowd.

The police had been asking them to stay calm and not to charge. After the first charge, I heard people from the crowd saying "Shame on the police. Those are students!".

I'll come back with more stuff later.

I think you're talking about this elderly?

If you see those umbrellas on the ground in the lower right, and the police in the back waving the red "stop charging" warning banner, it indicates that this was after the "peaceful" students charged the police barricade, shown in this video posted a few pages ago:

Put these together and it shows the elderly instigating and leading the charge against the police. But of course the video is not broadcast on mainstream media, because it's counter to the peaceful protesters narrative and discredits them even more.

That's the magic of editing.

If you watched the whole video, you would know that just seconds before the police were subject to a violent and sustained umbrella charge.

To be fair, I disapprove of what was done, because it looked like the old man was trying to talk some sense into the hotheads.

However, anyone who thinks that was outrageous, especially in the middle of a riot, really has lived a sheltered life.

If those demonstrators had pulled that sort of crap in any other city against any other police force, there would be a whole bunch of them with serious baton injuries to their heads of arms/shoulders, and many in cuffs awaiting life ruining charges and sentences.

Watching both the YouTube clip and the GIF, I am not sure. Because after the barrage of charging umbrellas, the police all had their clear shields lined up but the GIF shows the police all with no shields. Also, the police with the red banner is between two police vans. Hard to tell from the angle of the YouTube clip on whether he was already there to begin with. The beginning of the YouTube clips also shows what is the lower right of the GIF already having something on the ground.

The video shows that person alone led charges against the police cordon at least two other times, so not so innocent.
