Re: Your Favorite Foods...What you like to eat
It is #1. It's not ordinary soy milk, which is "dou Jiang" in Chinese. Its Chinese name is "dou zhi" I don't think they sell it in the States, but it won't hurt to check it out.
With my Shanxi gene (my mom), I agree with you 100% on the vinegar part. However, with my Shandong gene (my dad), I would have to disagree with you on the soy sauce part. Soy sauce adds so much flavor to dishes. One simple dish I've tried when I was little was boiling water+soy sauce+sesame oil+chives. My dad made it for my sister and me when my mom was out of town one time (doesn't that sound familiar? ). It's pretty much like drinking diluted soy sauce. It was actually not bad.
Is this soy juice any of the following:
1. A blend of soy milk+anything
2. Is it a blend of soy sauce+anything
I can take the top one, but the bottom one is terrible. I mean I can drink vinegar straight but soy sauce? Terrible
Do you think they sell it in America? Because there is a Chinese supermarket about 10-15 miles from my place and if they do get imported then I am going to go find a bottle or two.
