I think he meant ximilu, it sounds he had the basic drink type(they range from drinks to pudding-ish dishes).
Normally it is made with coconut milk(I don't think Korea has coconuts hence the sugar water), and often have fruits slices added depending on your preference.
I remember having this drink for dessert at a Korean restaurant, basically toasted rice in sugar water. That was really good.
You mean like Jiu Niang? Sweet rice wine? I'd prefer some yogurt soju if it was at a Korean restaurant haha.
