Milam does same thing. It makes reloading much simpler/faster when you don't have to remove used canister from the launcher.

The Martyrs of Mheen Brigade Arrives In Qalamoun With A Large Supply Of Chinese Anti-Tank Weapons
As per Ares Arms Research Services' earlier post on Chinese ATGMs in Syria, the letter "E" in a circle indicates these are HJ-8E models, the same type reportedly supplied by Qatar earlier in the conflict, which also had their markings obscured.

The earliest posts on the Martyrs of Mheen Facebook page suggests they have been active in the Qalamoun region since October 2013, and videos posted to another YouTube channel associated with the group show they have access to Croatian RAK-12 multiple rocket launchers, supplied to opposition groups aligned to the Free Syrian Army in early 2013 by Saudi Arabia, smuggled via Jordan into the south of Syria.

It's very interesting that the same group have access to the Croatian weapons provided by Saudi Arabia and these Chinese HJ-8E ATGMs, fresh supplies of which have been rumoured to have entered the south of the country in recent weeks. Could the HJ-8Es in this new video be the first signs of large quantities of this new supply arriving in Syria?

This is disturbing news and I have it on good authority that the recent visit by Saudi delegation to Pakistan and the soon to be follow up visit was because Saudi wanted to supply more ATGM to the rebels

Now I am convinced that the current units are smuggled through Sudan and Turkey but now it's emerging that Saudi pressure is now forcing Pakistan to supply such missiles

Saudi also is pushing vey hard for MANPADS in the Anza series from Pakistan and in return they are offering big bucks and many other defence deals and a not so well off country like Pakistan is very vunerable

They advertised the JF-17 just so they could renegotiate the Typhoon jet deal with BAE which has just been finished and finalised

Saudi is playing dirty games all around with everyone they are not interested in the JF-17 they want to play everything to thier benefit

Now Saudi is saying they will buy more from Pakistan only if they get ATGM and MANPADS

Americans as usual don't give a monkeys what Saudi does as long as the oil is flowing in my opinion this is a dangerous development and should not go ahead because at the end of the day Pakistan is likely to get all the blame when Saudi hides away behind the curtain

Worse part is the CIA knows about the dealings and Congress or Pentagon has no power to stop the deal, even if one single MANPAD goes missing a civilian airliner is in great danger

This is not going to end well trust me

Saudis haven't yet purchased any missile from Pakistan, but perhaps they do at some point in future. Most likely it's Saudis buying them directly from China via UAE or Sudan. Chinese don't lose anything even if they were selling these missiles directly to rebels, so it's a win-win situation for them.

If Assad win's there is no evidence that Chinese supplied HJ-8's knowing where they go, it also leaves Chinese in good terms with Saudis even if the horse Saudis put money on end's up loosing, and Chinese can say "we did our best, buddies".

If rebels rebels win there ain't any cons because Chinese can come and say "we provided you with weapons, now you can give us some reconstruction contracts", plus they are also in good terms with Saudis to boot.

Next they should sell some PF-98's.
