Al Nusra probubly has a propiganda wing, Just about every AQ sect does. Complete with professional video editors, slick graphics and musical cues. Its likely that the videos broccoli is posting come from them. Mixed in amongst the fighting groups are what we would call embedded cameramen.
also ahho Remember that just about every modern cellphone has a built in video camera.
that said I do wonder just how limited the armory these guys have.

during the invasion of iraq, US set up a special unit to hunt down iraqi anti tank missile operator,the unit arm with barrett 12.7mm snipper rifle to provide long range snipping.despite very large number of soviet ATGM,not to mention ATGM from france such as milan.surprisingly ,it seem's to me, much of US army vehicle either failed to IED or RPG.

So far only "moderate Islamists" have been armed with HJ-8's and al-Nusra is using only Russian ATGM's. Al-Nusra makes relatively small % of all rebel factions, Nusra has 10.000 at tops and the more secular FSA groups have up to 100.000 men. I wouldn't be too surprised if CIA is delivering the HJ-8's to FSA, they did same thing with Chinese weapons in Afghan-Soviet war.

The Syrian Islamic Liberation Front, represented by the Syrian Military Council, is used by the U.S. and its allies to channel support to the rebel fighters with the hope of unifying the various factions.

“Other moderate Islamist groups affiliated more closely to the (Syrian Military Council) and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) are almost the only users of the Chinese Hongjian-8 (HJ-8),” the report states.

These weapons first showed up in Syria in June and are not known to be used by the Syrian military. The report notes that this ATGM is “being supplied by a different foreign state than the one supplying the Konkurs.”

Side note. The Chinese also armed the afghans on there own in the soviet invasion.
so only "moderates" huh.... Just what is a moderate these days? I mean is there any proof? And what classification do you use?..
basicly asked and answered the term is used to try and put lipstick on a pig. Lots of so called moderates are just extremist, who for whatever reason politically are needed.

What keep me wondering are how many HJ-8 does the Syrian militants have and who supply them in such a huge number and no one find out?

Don't the Pakistanis have licensed production? Perhaps they are the supplier, or part of the supply chain. In the soviet afghan conflict the Saudis and CIA ran arms though Pakistan perhaps some part of that chain still exists and we are seeing it run in reverse.

According to the New York Times Quatar purchased HJ-8's and FN-6 MANPADS from Sudan and send them to FSA, there is also rumors that UAE is also sending HJ-8's to FSA.

Those M99 rifles are probably from same source.
