Land of the free; home of the brave. God bless America!

Amen, and AMEN! God was good to us this past several months, Mollie, (Miss Greenfield), and Baxie, (GHS Senior Prom Queen),,,,,(what are the odds of that happening to a couple of sweet little chicks?) Graduated from High School on Friday night.

Baxies boyfriend Blane, of FT. Bragg NC, surprised her and was sitting at our kitchen table when she came home from Graduation practice Friday morning,,,,Baxie and Mollie hosted a party Saturday night at our house, (which we have all been trying to paint the last three months), party started around six and was very nice and well attended...Around 8, Mollies boyfriends two brothers, (he is a triplet), arrived at the party and Mollie who had been inside came out to greet Mike and Matt, as she went to hug one brother, the other one stepped aside revealing "Mitchell out Marine", well I can't tell you how much the girls were surprised, or how much they cried when greeting their men, but I can tell you how proud I am of Mitchell and Blane, and how neat these two guys are!

I'm so proud that 4 of my daughters are married to/dating soldiers,,, I guess we must have done something right, and as BD and Stoney have asked, God Bless America! and God Bless each of you and your lovely families, Jeff Head, we love you brother, and BD Popeye, Stoney, each of our Sino Defense forum brothers, even those who don't always agree with us, we love you just the same.

Wishing God's Blessings on each of our heroes, foreign and domestic!

Happy Fourth of July folks. Too bad fireworks are banned in my area.

Up until a month or so ago personal fireworks were banned in Iowa. Now they are readily available. We've always had fireworks shows....controlled by pyrotechnic "Experts"...but now folks are setting them off all over. There have been many accidents with injuries and in our area at least two homes were set on fire because of fireworks.

My complaint is the noise!!!

Happy July 4th from NY.

The government shutdown that is plaguing New Jersey—

, "I just made the decision in conjunction with our Police, FIre, OEM + Cultural Affairs that we will move our celebration to Exchange Place. I'm not willing to risk waiting around for the state government to act."

The fireworks had been planned for Liberty State Park, but the

also includes carnival rides and performances—Kool & the Gang will be on stage after 8 p.m.—and the fireworks start at 9:25 p.m.

Now that the Jersey City fireworks are at Exchange Place, New Yorkers will be able to see them from Battery Park. (To be fair, New Yorkers in Manhattan and Brooklyn have traditionally been able to glimpse Jersey City's fireworks.)

FYI. We changed map this AM. Main stage is now directly in Exchange Place by pier. Beer garden near as well. Carnival at Columbus/Greene
