Hmmm ... I don't think so ! IMO it looks completely different. My first idea was something like a ECM- or ESM-pod but here too I have a strange/bad feeling ...
Maybe it could be some kind of equipment for maintenance ... ???

I think that is a strange position for an ESM / ECM store, since especially the forward arc of the plane is blogged by the plane itself.
If at all it dispences chaffs / flares. But I can't really accept this thought.
Some kind of travellers pot may be a good idea.

Added to this last post Xinhui posted several intersting H-6A (??) pictures at the CDF. One of them see below !
Regarding the gun under the nose they are all "older" models but if You look closely they even show here different wing-tip-designs !
They have all the older, original "short" design but some of them - aircraft no. 20615 - seem to have the Russian wing-tip-to-wing-tip refuelling mechanism installed ! ... the same as shown on the H-6G !!
Does this mean that the G-models were updated older ones ??

Just noticed how different the wing tips of the different H-6 versions are ?!?!
Quite intersting is the H-6G with the old-style, shorter tips ...
