JH-XX is bomber or what?
Separate from H-20?
JH-XX is a fighter-bomber. Hence the "JH". Think of it as a stealth version of the Su-34.
H-20 is a strategic bomber. Probably intercontinental in range which China currently lacks.

Another knowledgeable person also mentioned it yesterday. At least two threads about it have been deleted from cjdby.According to Henri K.'s Twitter, there is a rumor that the JH-XX bomber might've made its maiden flight on June 10, 2019.
Any idea where he might've gotten the rumors from? Nothing from CJDBY or Weibo so far.
I think the poster is also yesterday's source.A supposed eyewitness posted to CJDBY on June 10 (North America time) that they saw an upgraded "J-15 version" make a test flight. However, their illustration makes me wonder...

A little to much in my opinion.Another knowledgeable person also mentioned it yesterday. At least two threads about it have been deleted from cjdby.

June 10 date lines up with the supposed rumour of JH-xx test flight being witnessed and leaked. Is the JH-xx based off a flanker design? Why call it an upgraded J-15 when the frame looks far from resembling a conventional fourth gen fighter frame. Doubtful that the leakers are randoms allowed to post these rumours up online. Must be all intentional. Therefore removes the possibility of them screwing up the J-15 connection. Could it be a hint at a naval or carrier connection?
People are talking about a 601 design that showed up around 2013. It has been posted in this forum in JH-7 thread https://www.sinodefenceforum.com/jh-7-jh-7a-jh-7b-thread.t912/page-110#post-236021It looks like Lockheed Martin’s sixth gen concept art.View attachment 52798A little to much in my opinion.
Re: JH-7/JH-7A Thread
Anyone know what this is? Looks like the Sharp Sword model behind it.

Looks like this illustration from a military magazine.
I’m not sure how credible that post is. China puts a lot of effort in not just better equipment but also equipment with no direct counters, so developing something like a 6th gen early is not fully out of the question, but I don’t think China is advanced enough to get it into the air so quickly, while US is still getting F-35 in order and Russia is struggling with getting any 5th gens up at all. According to everything I’ve seen before, it’s still a stiff neck to neck competition.
