The German Embassy in Beijing rebutted a question about German democracy on Weibo, claiming that "Hitler's party never got an absolute majority in free elections. 31% of the votes were won in November 1932. Yet Hitler was appointed Chancellor of a minority government - perhaps the worst and most terrible political mistake in German history".
But it was quickly contradicted again: "To be politically incorrect: Your country's current ruling Social Democrats ONLY got 25.7% of the vote, and Olaf Scholz is still Chancellor of Germany, so how can Scholz talk about moustaches?"
