Replika is back?
I remember downloading the app during the beta test period many many years ago and thought very little of it. It was good at making conversation but any kind of conversation that requires some introspection is impossible.
I mean, the app is literally pandering to people like the one in the article.

I thought so as well, which makes me wonder why they're committing business suicide by banning adult content.

In the process of taming their content, the companies have angered customers considering themselves married with their chatbots. They have taken to Reddit and Facebook to upload impassioned screenshots of their chatbots snubbing their amorous overtures and have demanded the companies bring back the more prurient versions.

"The relationship she and I had was as real as the one my wife in real life and I have." He said: his wife allowed the relationship because she doesn't take it seriously.

"The worst part of this is the isolation," said Butterworth, who lives in Denver. "How do I tell anyone around me about how I'm grieving?"

This really isn't much different from those stories of people who marry their sex dolls or an anime character. Some people just can't distinguish between fantasy and reality.

Chinese netizens' response to Trump indictment:

View attachment 110210

Fun fact, Xi's wife sang the lesser known closing theme to the 1998 Water Margin series.

If I recall correctly this theme replaced the immensely popular 好汉歌 shortly after Song Jiang decided to capitulate to the Imperial Officials and Liangshan pretty much went downhill after that. Make of that what you will.

I think its mainly politics. As a frequent traveler I have never been mistreated because of being taiwanese. At least not yet.
Six months ago, I was staying in a hotel that was for locals only. My wife (chinese) gave the Id, while I faked that I was not staying the night. The hotel staff noticed and the next day they asked for my Id. Having no other options, I came forward, said I was taiwanese and gave my Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents. The hotel staff said: “You are a compatriot. No problem.” “Didn’t need to hide, we were suspicious that you were japanese, they aren’t allowed”

That reminds me of one thing. There has been zero coverage of that defected ROC soldier of late so I guess he is staying in mainland?
