I have a Mercedes plug-in hybrid. In my experience the customer service is quite good and any problem they can fix quickly, only problem is when I say "fix" I really mean "replace the part", and replacement parts seem to be really expensive and the car is hardly Toyota reliable.
Poor value for money, needlessly complex and unreliable, poor customer service? Sounds fantastic!
It's all very clever engineering that works great when everything is running fine, but any issue and it's a pain. For example to fit a battery into the car the battery takes up the room that would normally be for a spare tire. So with no spare tire the car has to have run flat tyres and yeah they work really well even when punctured and you almost feel no difference with the tyre is flat, but take it to the tyre shop and they're like "oh this thing, it only works with run flat tyres which can't be patched if there's a hole and this particular car only runs one one type of run-flat tire unique to Mercedes, you're going to have to buy a new set of four at once and it's going to cost you a lot."
And god help you if you don't stick to the maintenance schedule.
It does sound a lot like German AFV given all the maintenance trouble we hear with PzH 2000 and Puma.
