Better than our 12 years of compulsory "education" imbued with equal parts sociopolitical proselytization, "learning material" so rote and uninspired in delivery and content that it's no wonder everyone hates it, and standardized testing designed less around incentivizing competence and more around getting the school district better funding - all taught by teachers who don't give 2 s#*ts about their job the majority of the time, and end up sitting at their desks, handing out a study guide or busywork with express instructions not to disturb them, admin and faculty so pearl-clutchingly out of touch that they'd sooner expel and permanently stain the transcript of a student who gets beat in the hallway (so they can send the message that "fighting is zero tolerance! **anyone** in a fight, even if you don't actively participate, is at fault!" - which is what happened to my nephew, and he's a f***ing great kid, straight As, AP classes, now he's in some "correctional" school because he got assaulted in the hallway by some pricks because of his skin color), rather than preventing the endemic drug use, violence, and other crap that has been in American high schools even back when I was in.
The only remotely "political" thing that I sincerely get mad about is the state of our education system. It's a travesty.
So yeah, I'm down with reading about Xi Jinping thought every so often if it would mitigate even half those issues.
