Actor Zelensky must have heard people criticizing the crappy work of his special effects team.
In this earlier video, the special effects flaws were immediately spotted by netizens.
On March 23, his embassy to UK released another video where Zelensky stood still in front of a similar backdrop. A soldier was added in it to give the viewers the illusion of depth. But this still looks like a "green screen" effect to some netizens.
A group of Russians didn't miss the chance. On March 24, they mocked Zelensky to make fun of his pretense.
In the mocking video [ watch it embedded
], a girl pretended that she was a reporter in Mariupol recounting attacks from armed Ukrainians. Except that the backdrop behind her was Kiev, the same one as in Zelensky's video. Directed by a voice outside of the scene, she started changing the backdrop with a remote. The backdrop was changed to Zelensky's office, then the white house court yard, etc. finally Mariupol.
