Just curious, how does SDF generate enough revenue to keep the site going?

I am not sure about that, did you check your subscriptions to threads? I am getting notification emails.
It would support (it is really up to tapatalk to provide support for products they deem necessary) it.
SDF hardly generates any revenue (which is okay), it is hosted on same server as DefenceTalk so DT takes care of SDF.
We maybe moving to new, better and faster server soon as well.

Searching my memory, I believe I tried to cancel my subscription to the old Ukraine thread, (it was driving me crazy), I think, and then they were all gone, on my phone, laptop, and desktop. So I have been on the forum sight, and it tells me I am still subscribed to all the threads???? I'm NOT techy at all boss, I still have an analogue brain, I will try to get the twins to look at it, one of them might bang onto my problem, if it were my security it would still come over on my mobile, but they all three dried up at once, and I really do miss them.
I am still getting thread up-dates from Defense Talk??? so wow?
You may have to go back and take care of those subscriptions again. We haven't made any changes to DT since vb4 turned out to be a pain in the neck at SDF.
I am also looking into Xenforo software, IPB has some competition.

- notifications and ability to get alerts on virtually anything that happens around the forum, your posts, your threads, profiles,
