Take this pic with a grain of salt. I heard before that S&P500 returned 5500% on paper in which about 5000% was due to inflation. I cannot verify either. Yet it verifies from another angle my perception that inflation is the only feasible way out of the fiat money deluge since Greenspan.
This is highly inaccurate.

US average inflation is 3.3% for past 100 years.
Sp500 total return average out 10.6% for the past 100 years.

The real total return net of inflation is thus 6-7% p.a. which turn $100 into $4K+ from 1967 to 2024.

What is when it crosses 4000, what are further plays?
Well, there is tricky "my book" vs "their book". In "my book", the fair value of 000001 is somewhere between 4000 and 5000. If my judgement on the current series of policy moves is correct, corporate earnings should improve noticeably in 2025 that should lead the index back to 5000 level. I believe this round is a result of long-awaited reforms rather than knee-jerk bailout or quantitative easing. Li Qiang better not disappoint me like WJB/LKQ did before
