We have covered this before the F35 can maneuver is fairly agile as a fighter.

Actually the video is of high alpha departure testing, the airplane is forced to stall then spin, it is at this point largely out of control, hence we need to think of this as good manners, not excellent maneuverability, since the aircraft is being held in a fully departed position and the spin forced to propagate and stabilize.

Demonstrates the F-35's good manners, and docility in the departure mode, Heh, Heh, not maneuverability since this is "post stall", not making lift with the departed wing.

They're not going to change, yes the poor little F-16 is a little stale visually, but it can still do the do, and that's what we are demonstrating with our precision flight team, the Navy is still flying the F-18, but they just moved up to the Super Hornet last year?? I do believe

The F-16s the T-Birds fly are usually a couple of blocks behind our very best birds, but periodically they upgrade blocks in order to "keep up"...

No the F-35 is NOT going to be the new demo bird, sorry, but that's not how it works? once all the war-fighters have there aircraft, they may set aside some of those very early blocks, but that's prolly 10 years out at the earliest,,, maybe TX, or the Popular Science "wet dream bird", that we're sending to Afghanistan??? LOL
Actualy some modified for me do transition on Super Hornet for next year.

No do transition from block 32 to 52 in 2008

The U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning II aircraft continue their tour of eastern Europe.

On Apr. 28, two U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning II aircraft, 14-5094 and 14-5091,

, arrived at Graf Ignatievo Air Base, Bulgaria.

The aircraft were supported by a single KC-135R Stratotanker, c/s “Nacho 81”, from 459th Air Refueling Wing, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, that launched from RAF Mildenhall.

Interestingly, the 5th Gen. aircraft used the very same radio callsigns used by the F-35s involved in the JSF’s

“Conan 01” flight.

According to the U.S. DoD, today’s training deployment has been planned for some time and was conducted in close coordination with Bulgarian allies. “It allows the F-35A the opportunity to engage in familiarization training within the European theater while reassuring allies and partners of U.S. dedication to the enduring peace and stability of the region.”

“The aircraft and Airmen began arriving in Europe on April 15, and are scheduled to remain in Bulgaria for a brief period of time before returning to RAF Lakenheath to continue their training deployment.”

Already deployed to Graf Ignatievo Air Base, to take part in exercise Thracian Eagle 2017 were also 12 F-15C Eagle jets belonging to the 122nd Fighter Squadron of the 159th Fighter Wing, Louisiana Air National Guard that are in the involved in the drills

as well as Su-25s from the Forward Deployment Air Base at Bezmer, L-39s from the Air Training Group at Dolna Mitropoliya Air Base, AS-532 AL, Mi-24 and Mi-17 helicopters from Krumovo Air Base, and air defence units.

Whilst “Nacho 81” could be tracked during its flight (to and back from) Bulgaria, this time the deployment to eastern Europe was not “accompanied” by any evident activity by U.S. or NATO intelligence gathering aircraft. In contrast, as already reported, on Apr. 25,

over or around Estonia.

Well Not in the next couple years anyway. I Think The USAF Thunderbirds will transition to F35A And Eventually the USN Blue Angels to F35C just not until those Aircraft have gone fully operational.

The Paints. Paints on modern Low observable Jets contain RAM materials.
This limits the Color pallet.

It you look at stealths it's monochromatic. F22, and F35 are grey with White markings. B2 Spirit is darker Grey with light grey, J20 is Grey tones with White parkings, PAK FA is again Grey but then has the most colorful stealth in it's shark tones 2 blue shades and Red insignia. This means that for F35 in the Thunderbirds or Blue Angels These Aircraft would sacrifice their combat capacity.

For Aggressors who also sport nonconventional paint schemes to simulate Enemy Air threats and may in the future need to simulate Opfor Stealthy This would also limit the color pallets demanding Schemes like Spliter.

. The USAF and USAF will have to wait until the F35 series is in full production and has a few birds that can be pulled from operational duty.

Yes Sir ! seems logic but remains curious exact reason ? for coating exist graphic it is very thick o_O
I precise i think 2 things : RAM himself in epoxy etc...and painting with microbeads.

It is necessary to put his slippers to walk on :)

Which actually does make my point, the Blues and the Birds do not fly the latest and greatest equipment, I believe that the Blues are flying F-18s that are no longer carrier qualed due to having met the maximum number of cats and traps, and the Birds are NOT flying the latest block upgrades, but older F-16s that are no longer numero uno?

Now the Blues and the Birds have the greatest maintainers and very high standards of mechanical function of any squadron in either service, pilots, maintainers, crew chiefs are each the best in the bidnezz! the best, and those older aircraft are maintained to perfection.

As to the Blues getting the SuperBug, that may even be on a temporary hiatus due to the problem front line squadrons are having maintaining their aircraft in a flyable status?? very bad, very very bad, to quote Trump, just bad, bad, bad!

all back on OBAMA!

The F-35 IS going to be the mainstay of the USAF and other Air Forces for decades to come, just like the F-16 became.

it is going to be produced in large numbers...and many nations are going to buy it.

it is going to change air warfare as we know it, and give the nations possessing it...particularly in any numbers...a distinct advantage in stealth, in sensor and sensor fusion, in mechanics, and in weapons systems integrated with it over time.

Will it be as strong kinimaticaly as the F-22? No, not quite...but it will be as effective a fighter and will bring a huge advantage.

And, in the end, the Alpha bird is going to cost about as much as a new, modern, upgraded F-16...as that happens, guess which one the nation who were thinkling of those new F-16s are going to choose?

Anyhow, the numbers continue to grow for all three varieites. And for both A and B, both here in Amrica and abroad.

I wish the English had gone CATOBAR with their carrier so they could have gotten the Charlie...but as it is, that looks now lke the exclusive purvue for the US Navy...and all in all, it will probably, ith its larger wing, fighting radius, and weapon carrying capacity, be the most powerful of all three.
