tphang,

Any news regarding the Z-9C?, would Z-9C be transferred individually per ship or Pakistan Navy is going to take delivery with all six.

Geographer,

U.S has approved to transfer one OH Perry Class to Pakistan Navy. The delivery date will late 2010/early 2011 depending on the refurbishment, which will cost Pakistan around $65 million.
a while ago, we saw a picture of Z-9 in PN colours, so I think it should be on schedule with the rest of the program.
I got this from the article:

Anyone care to explain me how? I have always assumed that the F-22P was built entirely by China.
the final one is built in Pakistan and China gave ToT for the ship.

More then likely bad reporting, probably should say " future indigenous ship building capability of the country. " Since, F-22-P is Chinese project and not an Indegenous Pakistani project or joint Pak-China project.

more pictures of 252, it really looks like most of the work for this ship is already done. I think I've already read that it has gone on sea trials. Should be ready in December for delivery.

Looking good! Is that real helicopter, or just a mock-up for trials?

As tphuang mentioned, the 4th one is being made in Pakistan.

looks like 252 has returned home from sea trials. It's lined up side by side with 251, should be ready to be delivered to Pakistan pretty soon. I'm actually surprised 251 hasn't sailed off yet.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, First F-22P Frigate constructed for Pakistan Navy at Hudong Zhonghua Shipyard in Shanghai, China was delivered to Pakistan Navy on 30 July 2009. The delivery ceremony was followed by Commissioning of the ship, in which Pakistani flag was hoisted on the ship with band playing Pakistani National Anthem. The ceremonies were attended by distinguished guests from Chinese Navy, Chinese Govt Authorities and senior officers of Pakistan Navy.

Chief guest for the ceremony, Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Noman Bashir NI(M) while addressing the guests said that the successful and timely delivery of the First F-22P Frigate has been made possible by superb cooperation of the leadership of PLA(Navy), SASTIND, CSSC, Hudong Shipyard and CSTC. He said that with passage of time the relationship between Pakistan and China has grown deeper and fonder in all spheres of defence and economic cooperation. Pakistan is indeed proud of close association with China and this unique relationship does not draw any parallel elsewhere in the world. He said that F-22P Frigate project is the manifestation of everlasting strategic partnership between Pakistan and China.

Earlier, while welcoming the guests at Commissioning ceremony, Head of Pakistan Mission and the Chief Naval Overseer, Commodore Mahmood ur Rehman SI(M) said that the successful culmination of the first F-22P Frigate is the result of ardent efforts and exceptional professional competence of all personnel involved in this project, right out its inception.

Work on design and construction of F-22 P ships started in year 2005 after signing of a contract between MoDP and CSTC of China for construction of three ships in China and one at Karachi Shipyard. While first F-22P ship is now heading to Pakistan, all other three ships are at different stages of construction.
The F22P frigates are equipped with state of the art weaponry and sensors. They would also carry a Z9EC helicopter as integral part of the platform. The construction of 4th ship is to be completed by 2013. Addition of these new ships will not only strengthen the PN Fleet with much needed potential but will also contribute in enhancing country’s shipbuilding capabilities.
There really isn't much to this that we don't know. I think the 2nd F-22P is suppose to be handed over later this year. Other than that, I don't really have any good pictures of the ship departing, but there are plenty of pictures of 251 still sitting at HuDong shipyard from this thread.

has all the specs of F-22P and the systems on it, pretty good look, a little surprised it's over 3000 tonnes in displacement.

Have you noticed something wrong with the spec? 730 MM Guns (CIWS)! It should be Type-730 30mm Guns (CIWS).

Question: Does the F-22P have sonar system?

I checked the 053 ship specs, and it appears that only the 054Hx has sonar, the others (including Jiangwei class) did not?

a bunch of pictures of 252 from the HD shipyard. I really hope that 253 comes out soon, because I'm getting bored with these pictures. This ship should be handed off to PN pretty soon.
