559 Foshan was commissioned with South Sea fleet in 1994 June. It still has 10 more years to go before retirement.
This frigate is part of SCS patrol flotilla, though it is old designed hull, for patrol duty it has been fitted with more advance gear for surveillance and data gathering than larger destroyers like 052C.

I sincerely hope not. 559 having more advanced gear for surveillance and data gathering than a type 052C would make the latter inferior even though it is a much later build and larger class of warship.
Once there is enough type 056s commissioned, early retirement of the 053H1Gs would be logical to redeploy crew resources onto more efficient vessels, The YJ-83s are the same between the two classes and can be reused too.
1- rumors...Is anyone has any info with planned future acquisitions current status???
1- 4 FFGs (same F22p class with some modifications).
2- 6 FFGs (in the line 054A type class).
3- 8-10 OPVs (in between 056 & C28A).
However, 8 SSKs are final (Yuan/S80/Quing).
Submarines and OPVs I understand, but why does Pakistan need so many FFGs Does Pakistan need a blue water force, or is the money better spent on littoral defense? Is anyone has any info with planned future acquisitions current status???
