Navy - 3000 seeman
Air Force - 3000 personnal
Army - 4600 warriors
Home Guards - 10000 warriors

My own list. Little changes what's today.
It is 20600 soldiers and seeman. Little upod.
But if plannes are right for Sweden this hold on in five year.

Maybe to following:

16000 - General Göransson's maybe will.
15200 - Politics outside Sweden will this.
14000 - In Global Fire Power.
13500 - Old slovakian sizes.

Like I say little more down than today 2025 or this year.
Redgreen alliance will this commando 5 or 10 year.
They will reduction Armed Forces for Sweden.

But how knows best if they will bigger size like 35000 soldiers.
It is planned 60 Gripen E/F.
Or 22 Eurofighter to smaller size like redgreen alliance maybe will.

Or 20 Gripen E/F what's Moderats planned also. Before lose to mandat in 2014.
Myself I become cracked when everything is delayed.
New submarines for only future.

Defence and security company Saab has received an order for Gripen E role equipment, along with support and maintenance equipment. The value of the order amounts to approx. SEK 5.8 billion. The order is part of Saab’s existing agreement with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) covering activity for the Gripen E from 2013 to 2026. Delivery will begin in 2016.

This is the fourth order under the Gripen E agreement between Saab and FMV announced on 15 February 2013. Three earlier orders, linked to the development and production of Gripen E, were received during 2013. Work will be performed within the business areas Aeronautics, Electronic Defence Systems and Support & Services.

“Work with Gripen E goes according to schedule and budget. This order represents another important step in Saab's commitment to deliver the next generation of the Gripen system to Sweden,” says Lennart Sindahl, Senior Executive Vice President of Saab and Head of Saab's business area Aeronautics.

Gripen is unique in combining high technology and capabilities with cost efficiency. Gripen E has significant performance improvements, including a more powerful engine, longer range, more weapons, a new AESA radar and more advanced avionics. Today, Gripen is the backbone of five nations' air defences: Sweden, South Africa, Czech Republic, Hungary and Thailand. In addition, the Empire Test Pilot School (ETPS) in the UK uses Gripen in its training programme for future test pilots.

Gripen E/F in new reduction for future plannes.

First to sale are in 2016.

Production year are between 2013-2026.

Five countries have option to this from start.

Others countries like Finland, Britain etc will maybe have new Gripen E/F.

:D

The UK is invested in Typhoon and JSF Silvestre. They won't be inducting the Gripen.
ETPS leases a Gripen for the purposes of an advanced trainer.

Is writen in news in other forums that's Britain maybe will have maximum 50 Gripen E.

Anyway, Sweden have 19 vessels with 5 submarines, 5 warfare and 9 corvettes.

Coast guard and stridsbat 90 E or H have nothing with other Vessels. Coast jeager + I will 60 patrull boats in future Armed Forces in Sweden. Five Visby class of Corvettes and 4 submarines + 4 warriors ships. 13 vessels totally plus 30 coast guard boats and 60 patrull boats. 60 drivers and 240 coast jeager.

700 warriors plus over be 300 seeman in 30 Coast boats.

Total: 1000 seeman.

This I like.

The president of the European Commission has called for the creation of an EU army in order to show Russia “that we are serious about defending European values”. In an interview with German newspaper Die Welt,

, who leads the EU’s executive arm, said an EU army would let the continent “react credibly to threats to peace in a member state or a neighbor of the EU”.

Isn't this around the 10th time such a suggestion has been made. And each time it's pointed out how the demands of the command structure of such an army would seriously conflict with NATO's chain of command.

Anyways, the EU already has an army, it's just that they're an army of bureaucrats just like in Argentina, but larger....

I can just see the possible scenario: At 06:00 an EUAF F-16 fly's low over enemy lines dropping vast numbers of leaflets.

An enemy soldier reaches out to grab one and reads it.

Sorry, Sivestre, to simply try and document such an outlandish statement by saying that other people on other forums are "talking" about it does not cut it here on SD.

STOP MAKING SUCH REDICULOUS CLAIMS

There is no source in the industry that I or anyone else I knows of indicating that the UK is interested in purchasing Gripen aircraft.

Back up your claims with a link to some credible source. If you do not have them, do not make the claim...or at the very least make sure everyone knows that it is pure speculation on your part.

You have been told this already in the past. This is now a warning to you to stop doing this

DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS MODERATION

I actually do not think conflicts with NATO would be the issue. The same way every NATO nation maintains sovereignty over it's military and is able to have them work with / under NATO, that EU army would be one large national army with an integrated command structure in NATO. That's the way I understand those proposals. I believe this is not about sharing capabilities and producing synergies. (Some) People really mean one army under unified european (whatever that means) command.
And I see massive issues arising just there. I am prety sure those same people making those proposals - with the intent of showing that way european nations will never go to war with each other (why does that need a unified armed forces anyway) - would never be willing to publicly announce a blanket clearance for german personal to engage in the defense of oversea territories of other nations. They'd want a parliamentary decision on it. Wich flat out kills the idea right there. As I'm sure the UK or France would be rather not ammused having to wait on us making up our mind in three rounds of parliamentary discussions when it comes to their home.
Then there's of course all the other really big issues like sensitive tech, ops and so on. Not to mention the nuclear forces of the UK & France.
Noone, none of the bigger nations at least, would want to relinquish core capabilities, so there's going to be parallels anyway.
Which bring us back to looking for synergies in procurement and training. I believe that's on a slow route ahead. It could be much better and faster. But there are still national interests and different political priorities of course.

And much more importantly and closer at hand, we need to sort out our own procurement and equipment mess first. We can't bring that to the common table, I suppose.
