The issue with the energy crisis in Europe isn't just the short term recession in Europe but the collapse of energy dependent industries in Europe. It isn't just china becoming more threatening to German industries but other part of the world too.
Are there still any East German revolutionary comrades around?
At least they are trying to do something, meanwhile in the UK people are just pretending everything is fine.
Like for example: Houses are too expensive, mortage rates too high so lets just stop asking if people can afford to buy houses!
Japan atleast will not bring down the rest of Asia. German decline is scary due to interdependencies.
They dont have rail and truck network to replace barges.
