European Economics Thread

Not to be a dick, but all the China collapse youtube videos that were popping up like weeds weeks ago seemed ironic and a projection of what's to come and are happening in continental Europe. All, the coping, and hoping that these idiots in western Europe trying to worry about China are beyond idiots when their continent's respective countries overall economic health, especially their financial sectors aren't in great shape, let alone good shape.

It's really high time for these folks in the west to pay attention to the problems of their own making in their own houses before worrying on someone else's least of all a country as successful as China.

As they love to cite in the west: play stupid games; win stupid prizes.

I don't mind that they're uber-coping on an Indian level on "China collapsing"... it distracts away from what they should be doing - putting their house in order, so the real collapse, their collapse, is all the more painful, LOL.

The only thing I'm concerned about is Chinese manufacturers better increase the prices of electric blankets for all the overtime hours Chinese workers are putting in.

83€ for this little, granted I brought some unnecessary stuff like the coffee, but still.

Missing in this picture are one pepper and two instant coffees

Before the war the exact same stuff, the exact brands cost be more like 35€ to 40€.....

Watch of course only for size comparison.

For every calorie of food consumed, on average 9 other calories went into growing, processing and transporting it.

The only reason the earth temporarily had its carrying capacity of humans extended exponentially from 1 billion in 1900 to almost 8 billion today is because of access and exploitation of the billion year sunlight inherietence in the form of liquid energy aka hydrocarbon deposists sources under the ground such as oil, coal, natural gas....

Now that global energy production has peaked and EROEI is diminishing past the point of inflection of the energy cliff as we collectively fall into the so-called Energy Trap with no means to bootstrap out (unless China solves and scales fusion rapidly) then money and currency is inevitably going to be commensurately diminished in value and purchasing power as it was always energy that propped up modern moneys value by expanding the work multiplier effect of productivity.

I hate to say this, but from ecology standpoint, overshoot is the problem and dieoff is the solution

Your conclusion of an energy cliff has been debunked here.
If you can't dismantle the argument, then you need to stop posting crap.

Case and point - Here's a frog that didn't realise the fact that himself is already swimming in a pot of water that is gradually boiling:

But it’s so expensive to start up shop there and it takes so long, might has well go to China instead. Some super power, they can’t even get a low grade scheme to go out right without somehow messing up somewhere big
