It doesn't matter to what degree the Americans incurred, the fact is that it did and the western narrative has committed itself to turning public opinion against China no matter the issue. The Anglo-British / Anglo-American news has a virtual monopoly on the way they can shape current events, the fact is China can't shape it's own narrative and until the day it can find a way to compete or challenge these organisations it will be fighting an uphill battle.

Because what actually happened isn't worthy of much outrage in the first place, but the press are construing the molehill into a mountain. No one likes liars.

The press does what it has to to get viewers (on every side from every angle). Like it always does.

Colour me humoured by that last sentence. We're discussing politics here. Everybody lies.

Japan has not declared war on China and China has not declared war on Japan. Nothing even close. Please stop with the Huge Leaps in rhetoric. No more talk on either side justifying or condoning going to war either way...and especially no more talk about "killing every last Japanese down to the last baby." Such talk does not reflect well on, or belong on SD and will not be tolerated. It cannot be tolerated either way. If the thread keeps going that way, it will have to be suspended. If people keep posting that way, they will have to suspended or banned. Let's not go there.

Guys, we have peace loving, but technically astute and involved forum members from all the countries involved posting and participating here on SD. Neither side should have to be subjected to...or riled up and provoked by such rhetoric.

I suppose the anger is less directed to media lies than people who absorb them. So maybe I should've said no one likes stupidity :p

Good grief, with the b52 flying near the edge of the zone, they would be long gone by the time pla jets got there unless you want to chase them out into the pacific just for photos.
It's a political show for the US, not for China, they have clear goals in mind.
Let's hope US continues with this show. Any drop of jet fuel they use for show is one less for real military stuffs. :)
I doubt pla will play this game as long they stay out there and dont see them flying any nearer anytime soon.

Not true, politicians love stupid because stupid people are easier to fool and don't ask awkward questions they might struggle to answer.
