Even among anglos we already see cracks appearing, with nz slowly moving towards neutrality, not fast enough to my liking but at least its happeningYou did notice the strategy focuses mainly on Xi Jinping?
But even if Xi Jinping is replaced, his successor will still be working towards the exact same goals in terms of economic growth and technology, because the policy bureaucracy is still there.
At the moment, Chinese GDP is only 20% larger than the USA when measured with PPP.
And China is spending only slightly more in terms of R&D, as per the National Science Foundation.
In 5-10 years time, China should be far larger.
So what are the chances of China completely replacing US technology in this timeframe?
Further on, it is conceivable for the Chinese economy and R&D spending to grow 2x larger and then 3x larger than the USA.
After all, China does have 4x the population.
So if we look to places like South Korea or ASEAN, China should have much more influence in terms of economic benefits and punishments.
And potentially China could have overwhelming military influence because China is right next door.
Why on earth would they deliberately follow the USA into a hostile containment policy against China?
Better to stay neutral and hedge between the USA and China.
