Liberals in China still holding out false hopes and fantasy regarding Biden. There is no going back. The chaos in the US might buy China a few months of relative peace but nothing more. The US isn't going to give up its status as the sole superpower without a fight.

So you mean the Chinese government can't contacts its citizens in foreign countries?
So if Chinese have access to highly advanced tech or materials in US, it's acceptable to consider them guilty until proven innocent?
Is it acceptable to cleanse Chinese in the highest positions of high tech companies or institutions?
Any Chinese considered high risk can be jailed or met with "suicide/accident"?
I don't think any sane Chinese parents with high aspiration for their smart kids would accept any of these situations.

I don't think anyone thinks US and China are going to be friends, just competitors. Not longer an "enemy/adversary" like under Trump, just a strategic competitor. And that's fine, China faced more dangerous circumstances in history like the Huns and Mongols. US is chickenshit compared to them.

Also, I say this as American and Hong Kongese, there is jack shit US and HK can do about China's rise and multi-polarity in future. China is unstoppable.
