I know what you mean. I wish I could put him on my ignore list. But I can't stand hypocrisy and double standards. Especially masquerading as ignorance. So every time he post something inaccurate, or hypocritical then I feel obliged to correct his double standards.

So I'm afraid I don't have luxury of putting him on my ignore list.

Surprising that even Flournoy, considered the most likely to become cabinet member way way before the election is in jeopardy.

But again none of Biden'proposed cabinet folks match our prediction (Blinken, Yellen and now Austin)


Other possibility is that Biden might swap cabinet members to the original prediction iff he win Georgia senate races and midterm election.

In modern Chinese history, the CCP self corrected themselves and introduce radical reform (except for the cultural revolution). The article admonished Xi for going back to Maoist route and here some Chinese intellectual may had agree. For me What's wrong with that Self reflection is a major element in Maoism, when Xi ascend the leadership, the Western way is prevalent that create a huge wealth gap and corruption is rampant. What Xi had done is perform a major surgical reform that removed the cancer that is eating up the fabric of Chinese society, he had the tool and that is Maoism with a mix of Deng socialist capitalism and package it as a Chinese dream.

So under Xi the redistribution of wealth is visible with it's ANTIPOVERTY CAMPAIGN with a revitalized CCP cadre leading the charged, The patient had been cured embolden as ever. This is what Maoist is, a democratic movement from below empowering the voiceless ,letting them join the modern society equip with modern knowledge. So Xi slogan of NO ONE LEFT BEHIND is an appropriate theme for its China Dream program.

I don't understand why the West is so concern on China, they had a lot problem, maybe arrogance may play a role, their dogmatic adherence is a major roadblock to reform.

They are concerned because they are not humble nor capable of self reflection, two things that are needed in order to be able to confront the current era in regards to the virus and economic crisis. Only a nation that is united can handle the current world as it is right now. As you can see in Europe and the USA, many people there are only in it for themselves and are incapable of respect for there fellow man. Due to this belief that freedom is the greatest thing in the world and nothing comes close, they will do almost anything to defend it, no matter how stupid and crazy they become. Due to this, these nations are in mortal danger of a virus that is eventually going to over run there nations when there doctors and nurses lose the ability to control the crisis and would be forced to pick who lives and dies.
The politicians in the west right now are simply incapable of handling this crisis, hence this whole pandemic is something that ultimately shows how bad their freedoms are in this current time and yet they will continue to defend it blindly rather then clamping down on it for a period of time to get things in order. Hence this is a cycle of death that will continues for years if not decades

So the Western style Democracy is the problem? There are many kind of democracy, one man one vote is one , the other is empowering the individual through poverty eradication and education. The former had led to complacency and regret while the latter gained confidence and dignity.

The pandemic exposed the weakness of the current Western liberal democracy, a self correction is needed and the solution didn't bode well, it's an antithesis of their core belief. Their system can't handle it cause it stagnated, leaders are selected not on its merit but on its electivity. The never ending partisan battle created a gridlock only agreeing when their interest is being threaten. So the solution is a strong leader that can move things forward and we know from history what happen after that.

Democracy/communism on its own is not the real problem but rather how it is carried out or implemented in the nation it is used to govern. If the nation as a whole is well educated, democracy can have a great impact but in a nation where the leadership is corrupt, where the people are complacent and ultimately in a nation that is not united and divided as you see now, then this is going to have some serious problems as shown right now in all these nations of the western world, western Europe, USA, Canada and so on where the second shut downs are going into affect without much in way of stimulus and even then most of that money doesn't go to those who truly need them. People don't have the unity or spirit to confront the coronavirus together and are simply making excuses or even just ignoring the virus altogether while coming up with things like 'china virus' or ' CCP virus' as an excuse to not give maximum effort. Now they have things like anti lockdown riots and leaders claiming to want to down play the contagion as a flu 'that will go away in April'.
Hence, if they cannot come together to fight this problem and make the necessary changes without all these road blocks (trust me, they will never do so), then the conclusion is quite forgone at this point (unless you consider Biden as a strong leader which is quite difficult to believe).
